How to use Flowers in your Home during Spring
Spring is here in full force and all the pretty blooms are coming alive outdoors. Today I want to talk about how to use pretty flowers in your home during the spring time. A simple detail like sprinkling pretty blooms throughout your home brings in the freshness and beautiful bounty Mother Nature has to offer this time of year.

Pretty blooms should not only thrive outside, but they should also grace our indoor living spaces. Use the flowers you prefer from spring bulbs like tulips and daffodils to wildflowers and greenery. Whatever your jam, use it and use it some more. There is no such thing as too many flowers. Ever.

I hope these ideas help you sprinkle some sunshine around your home this spring. There are many places to display fresh blooms in your home. Not only is where you place the flowers important, but how you style them can also make a big difference.

Greet Your Guests with Pretty Blooms
My number one spot for seasonal decor is the foyer. Flowers grace our front foyer bombe chest most of the year, but are especially fresh this time of year. This post {how to decorate a spring foyer } shares more insight into decorating a home’s entry way.
Pretty blooms not only add freshness and prettiness to a space, but many times also provide a pleasant aroma. The multiple sensory experience for guests walking in the door provides a wonderful welcoming feeling.
Pair your floral displays with your favorite decor pieces and it will immediately fill your home with cheer and coziness. You don’t have to spend a lot on fresh flowers. You can pick some from your own yard or from the side of the road in remote areas. Many grocery stores have flower bundles for less than $5.

Sprinkle More Pretty Blooms throughout your Home
Small Vignettes
Beyond the front hall, you can sprinkle fresh blooms throughout your home. From small vignettes on a sideboard or side table to bigger displays on your kitchen or dining room table.

Mantel Shelf
The mantel is always a great decorating space. Flowers add the perfect accent to any mantel styling. A simple arrangement of vintage Ball jars and fresh lilac blooms create a fresh and pretty mantel design. It doesn’t have to be complicated. Actually I think simple is best with fresh blooms.
Bathrooms
Add flowers to unexpected spaces, like a bathroom. I don’t mean like the powder room when guests are coming over. I mean your private bathrooms only you use and see. It will make you smile every time you walk into the bathroom.

Table Stylings are a Great Stage for Pretty Blooms
Indoor Tables
Of course setting pretty tables always call for fresh blooms, accenting the table settings. This post {15 Spring inspired table designs) has a great round up, if pretty tables are your thing.

Don’t simply think of cut flowers, but you can also use potted plants and flowers, or spring forced bulbs are always a great option as well. Focus on the flowers that make you happy and the colors that you prefer and invariably, it will all come together.
Outdoor Tables
Of course as the weather warms up, we start to use our outdoor living spaces more and more. Setting a table outside with pretty blooms is just a double bonus in my opinion.
Outdoor Living Spaces
Don’t stop at your outdoor tables but use pretty flowers around your other outdoor spaces as well. Front porches, back patios, garden sitting areas, etc. all deserve to celebrate the season.

You all know how much I love my container gardens, and I will be planting my new ones for the season soon. I will share here once I have them done and styled..

Create your own Flower Containers
One of my favorite things is to showcase pretty flowers in unique and personalized containers. The best way to do this is to create your own to make sure they match your decor style. This burlap container collection I created years ago is still one of my favorites for indoor and outdoor use.
If you’re not a crafter, you do not necessarily need to make your own containers from scratch, but simply use unique containers for your fresh blooms. There are so many different options depending on your decorating style from glass, to silver, to wicker, to jars and more.

Flower Bouquets are alway Fun for May Day
Talking about making your own containers, floral bouquets are an easy and festive project. We are less than a month away from May Day on May 1st. Let’s all celebrate with homemade floral cones. There are three different look DIYs, depending on you preference here {floral cone bouquets for May Day}.
The year is speeding up and it will soon be May and the summer will fly by and it will be the holidays before you know it. Yup; facts!! Lol, I don’t mean to stress anybody out, just simply stating the obvious, and reminding everyone to stop and smell the roses while they are here.
