spring vibes tablescape

I set a spring inspired table since Spring has been peeking around the corner around here.  The temps have consistently been pushing 70 degrees and all sort of trees, flowers and plants are blooming. This is all the spring vibes tablescape.

It’s amazing how weather affects our mood and well being.  This table makes me happy just like the signs of Spring brings a smile to my face.

I wanted to use my green bottle collection, which you can read about here {through the season~green bottle collection}.  The bottles sits haphazardly on the {chippy shutter centerpiece}, filled with pretty blooms.

The table was inspired by the individual cloches which are filled with vintage floral frogs and dried lavender from my girlfriend’s yard.

These mini cloches also graced the table in my {dazzlingly bright New Year’s Eve Tablescape} and I have been wanting to use them with flowers ever since. The individual attention each mini cloche gives every place setting and guest at the table is everything.  I have so many ideas on how to use these in other tables and the possibilities are truly endless.

Underneath each mini cloche with lavender sprigs and floral frogs there’s a Wonki Ware assorted accent plate which you can read all about here {my latest dish obsession}, plus a William-Sonoma black trimmed bistro plate, which all sit atop wicker chargers from the old Pier1.

The napkins are vintage linens from my parents, which I unearthed when I organized my linen closet {linens closet organization}.  I wrapped the pretty napkins with the moss napkin rings, which you you can learn how to make here {eye-catching ways to add moss to your tabletop}.

The wicker chargers are big enough that you can place the flatware on them.  Sometimes I do and other times I choose not too.  It all depends on the “feel” of the table.  I used a vintage set of silverware here and they were dainty enough to place on the charger.  The silverware and linens compliment each other in daintiness and the glassware counter acts the delicateness with a chunky feel.

The Ralph Lauren Glen Plaid barware is from our wedding registry and we use it all the time.  I love the weight of them and I wish they had not discontinued the pattern.

I chose a variety of purple hued blooms for the centerpiece to compliment the lavender in the cloches.  The white ranunculus add a bit of contrast and interest.  Plus I am a sucker for the sweet folds of ranunculus and had to grab a bunch when I saw them peeking out of one of the floral buckets.

The pussy willow also adds another layer with great texture.

And of course no tablescape is complete without ambience.  I used these mini jars as votives, which I just picked up thrifting as an impulse grab.

Pretty soon we will start setting tables outside. I love when our living spaces spill out into the outdoors.

“There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature – the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter.”
