Christmas decor

I have a new project planned for the next installment of Styled 2 Ways coming next week with a new Christmas in July project. For said project, I gathered the supplies at the end of last year as part of my holiday planning strategy, which I shared here {how to prepare for next Christmas}. These mini gilded frames with vintage sheet music and crushed ivory velvet ribbons are a super easy and super fabulous DIY to throw together super fast. They add nostalgic vibes to your Christmas tree or as decor accents around your home. Vintage sheet music is one of the things I pick up at thrift stores all the time. I use the sheet music for so many projects, and it was the perfect thing to add to these pretty mini frames.

This elegantly rustic ornament DIY with pearl details has all the pretty vintage vibes. Paper mache ornaments are transformed with green paint and pearl accents. I selected green paint for a planned green themed tree for the family room, but you can select any color you wish. Make them yours and coordinate with you decor.

German glass glitter is one of my favorite mediums to use on craft projects. It is such an amazing material with all the vintage vibes I love oh so much, plus it adds patina with time which makes it even more fantastic. I use it on a few projects here. It was the perfect application for these vintage Christmas glass bulbs. Check out to you see how these looked like before.

A decoupage treatment is such an easy application which transforms so many pieces. Using book print pages is also a favorite technique I use for so many projects around here. You can find inexpensive books at thrift stores, garage sales or at the Dollar Tree. I added some inking and glittering techniques to give it that vintage flair. I tend to use these ornaments as bowl fillers rather than on my trees. They also look great inside a cloche.

Here is another Glass glitter ornament application, using plastic Dollar Tree snow flakes. Gotta love a super easy and super inexpensive project that looks high end. I have used these snow flake glitter ornaments in so many different ways. As ornaments obviously, also as napkin rings, and mug charms.

This DIY faux gingerbread snowflake wreath is incredibly festive in an understated way. The wreath is winter inspired, which can be displayed past the Christmas holiday into the New Year without missing a beat. I love the layered textures of the piece with the homespun charm gingerbread always brings to the party.

A simple grapevine wreath is dressed up with a pretty bow, fresh greenery and other organic elements to create a simple rustic Christmas wreath. This wreath DIY is a simple project, which comes together in no time, welcoming your guests with understated holiday cheer.

Pine cones come in so many different colors, shapes and sizes, making them so fun to work with in different projects. This square wreath is a fairly simple craft with great organic texture. I kept it simple but you can dress it up with a ribbon or with other decor accents. Always make it yours.

Although I would not recommend to make this wreath in July for Christmas time since the materials are all natural and mostly perishable, but it can inspire another creation using faux materials. The latter allows you to use the wreath year after year rather than just for one season. Although I do love the organic vibes, and I thoroughly enjoyed this wreath for a couple of months the year I created it.

Did you grow up with a tinsel Christmas tree? Or do you love the retro vibes a tinsel tree brings to the party? Silver tinsel trees create a nostalgic magical Christmastime mood. Unfortunately real tinsel trees can be spendy whether vintage or not, but let me share with you a super easy DIY hack to create a tabletop tinsel tree with jadeite reproduction ornaments for all the retro vibes.

Are you team gingerbread?  Gingerbread decor has been trending for Christmas the last couple of years and these faux tile gingerbread men are a great DIY. They are easy to make, very inexpensive and incredibly fabulous! There’s nothing better than creating your own seasonal decor.

Once again book pages make a great muse for these Christmas trees. Three different styles play so well off each other. And believe it or not the pages have aged over the years, giving them a great patina. Paired with some thrifted silver pieces they have a great vintage vibe.

This Dollar Tree stag canvas is easily transformed into a rustic holiday decoration. It’s super easy to embellish this mini canvas, giving it rustic and festive vibes. It’s not only super easy but also super affordable. Come on in and let me show you how to give this Dollar Tree canvas a glow-up, becoming a rustic and stylish piece of holiday decor.

These faux gingerbread houses were a project from last Christmas, and I hope to make more this year to grow the village. The little houses started out as Dollar Tree pieces, which looked drastically different before. You could also find little houses at thrift stores to transform into sweet gingerbread creations.

This is also a project from last year, which I used all the way through the end of winter. I can’t wait to use this from November through the end of January this year. It actually started as a burlap leaf mini wreath in the fall, and I easily transformed it into the candle ring, but it could still be used as a wreath if you wish.

Gingerbread continues to be on trend for the holiday season, and I am all about it. The gingerbread decor trend is a festive way to embrace the spirit of the holidays. It takes inspiration from the classic gingerbread houses and treats, creating a whimsical, cozy vibe in home decor. Today I am sharing an easy hack from a thrifted mug to create an easy DIY gingerbread decor accent piece.

Learn how to make a Christmas candle which not only smells divine, but looks magical. This magical Christmas candle DIY is an easy project, but has a huge wow factor. These candles look so pretty you won’t want to burn them, but once you do they smell heavenly!

This is another super versatile piece you can use from September all the way through the end of the winter months. You could actually use it more depending on where you live and your decor style. I love the rustic feels which can be paired with so many decor styles, allowing for different looks.

Frames in all sorts of shapes and sizes are a favorite thrift find of mine. I talked about it in length in this post {thrifted goodies installment {How to Use Thrifted Frames}. In the post I shared many seasonal decor ideas through the year. Simple seasonal images in pretty frames makes an easy and instant decor accent.

This is an easy up-cycle creating an old fashioned inspired gingerbread canister from a recycled piece. I rescued an old cookie tin from heading to the landfill, and transformed it into a gingerbread decor accent. By using a recycled item for the project also makes it environmentally conscious.

I’m all about easy and affordable seasonal decor. This is the easiest Dollar Tree Christmas decor hack ever! Seriously. I think a kindergartener could pull this one off. These wired garland pieces make the perfect circle ring. The garland formed in a circle makes the ideal napkin ring and mini wreath pace card.

These crown napkin rings were inspired by the three wisemen for the Epiphany. They could also be easily used for Christmas in honor of our King born on Christmas Day. I love all kinds of napkin rings but they can get expensive; making your own helps in that department.

This is probably one of my oldest crafts. Once again I used the German glass glitter on the tops, plus bottle brushes are also a favorite of mine. These mini glass globes are fun pieces, which can be used in many ways. They make great decor pieces for your Christmas kitchen or dining room, also they make great accents for a table styling, and are perfect accents for a hostess gift.

These ornament glass charms are a super festive way to dress up glassware during the holidays. I always did this for our annual Christmas parties and it set a happy vibe for each guest. All you need are mini ornaments and pretty ribbon and voila! you have unique drink charms with all the holiday cheer.
