Thanksgiving is the quintessential American holiday ingrained in culture, history and tradition, which is celebrated on the 4th Thursday in the month of November.  It’s the one meal where the majority of the country eats a very similar menu. Such a fantastic celebration deserves a well appointed table setting to enjoy the feast.

And although all our own personal traditions and particular festivities might look slightly different they are all ingrained on the same history and beliefs. Please join me and take a seat at our table.

Thanksgiving is grounded on the tradition of gathering around our dining tables and breaking bread together, while sharing all our blessings and grateful sentiments. Setting a festive table honors this holiday ingrained in our American culture and history.

Thanksgiving Celebration

The inspiration and driving force behind the lush green Thanksgiving table styling are the faux Wedgwood Jasperware pieces, along with the green Fall garland. The olive leaf wreaths at each place setting add another layer of lushness to all the green throughout the table.

Wheat bundles, wheat candles DIY and wheat napkin rings along with glass tortoiseshell pumpkins ground the theme for this table setting. The mix of lux and organic touches speaks to different sensibilities.

Real pumpkins, pine cones and grapevine pumpkins at each place setting set the rustic tone for this table. Other rustic accents include the bark napkin rings and horn silverware. The rustic notes are a great juxtaposition to all the refinery at the table.

Thanksgiving is the quintessential time to count our blessings and spread our gratitude. A large bowl piled high with pumpkins is an easy centerpiece, while the vintage turkey mold mirrors the chocolate turkeys at everyone’s place setting.

A leaf inspired table styling is all about the Fall feels. Leafy details pop up all around the table to set the Autumnal tone, which is perfect for a Thanksgiving gathering. Autumn is also called Fall in the USA because the leaves fall from the trees during this time of year. .

Moody fall flowers and the bounty of the season set the tone for this Fall harvest table scape.  Seasonal flowers and produce is always a good choice since selections are choice and prices are prudent.

Adding touches of sparkly silver, warm golds and stunning copper to a Thanksgiving table provides all the glow up of the season. A Thanksgiving prayer at each place setting as place cards crowns the plate stack. On the back you can write a thankful message, which we share around the table during the meal.

Happy sunflowers set the tone for a bright and light table styling. Sunflowers are perfect for this time of year and provide so much cheer and charm around a table setting. Sunflowers symbolize strength, good fortune, admiration and loyalty, bringing joy, health, hope and positivity to any celebration. Check out this easy sunflower napkin ring DIY.

A casual table setting with copper accents and DIY chalkboard pumpkin place cards set a relaxed and jovial mood. The copper accents lend themselves with the perfect fall feels, while the little pumpkin chalkboards place cards add a touch of personalization.

Wooden pumpkins steal the show with green accents, including pillar candles, moss balls, urns and more. Sometimes a tight color palette is all you need to guide you through table setting design.

Vintage postcards set the tone for this traditional table styling. Scanned cards or free vintage cards on-line can be easily personalized with everyone’s names for place cards, and perched on vintage floral frogs complete the vibe.

Using the great outdoors as inspiration is a never ending resource full of wonderful and exceptional options. Look at the great outdoors to decorate and accent your table. It’s an endless resource and it will vary depending on where you live. Lean into nature and bring it inside..

You can never go wrong with classic elements like stately candelabras and decorative, sculptured urns. The nature inspired white pumpkins and pine cone place cards add a touch of freshness to the table. The silhouette place cards are simple but yet a bit whimsical.
