Inspiration Behind Setting a Moss Bunny Inspired Table Styling
I found these faux moss mini bunnies at Dollar Tree a couple of years ago and they have sat in my craft stash since then. I actually wanted to create mini cloches with them last year but did not get to it. And… here we are.

I share how to create the mini cloche plate topper at the bottom of the post. Although I’ve had these mini cloches for a few years now, I still see them in stores regularly. If you don’t have a DT near you or if your particular store does not carry them, I have included a couple of options in the shopping section below for your convenience.
Details to Setting a Moss Bunny Inspired Table Styling
The table has a fresh springy feel with moss bunnies, moss table top accents and a vintage spring inspired centerpiece. This table would be perfect for an Easter celebration.

Plate Stack
- Reversible Green Toile | Ticking Placemat {Bed, Bath & Beyond}
- Moss Chargers {DIY}
- Mimi Thorisson dinner plate {Anthropologie}
- Limoges Green Vine Accent Plate {thrifted}
- Mini Green Flocked Bunny Cloches {Dollar Tree – DIY}

The reversible placemats and coordinating napkins are a super versatile option which can be used in so many ways. They do not necessarily need to be used together, but when I do, I always alternate the pattern as here. The toile placemat with the ticking stripe napkin. The setting coordinates without being too matchy matchy. The moss chargers are a favorite DIY around here, which were fairly simple to assemble and bring fantastic organic feels to the table setting.
Place Setting
- Simple Crystal Goblet, Champagne Flute & Aperitif Glass {inherited}
- Assorted Silver Flatware {thrifted}
- Reversible Toile | Ticking Napkin {Bed, Bath & Beyond}
- Moss Napkin Ring {DIY}

Like I mentioned about the napkin coordinates with the placemat in a subtle way. The moss napkin rings are another DIY, which coordinate with the bunnies and plate chargers. I included the fork inside the napkin ring for placement purposes. When the fork is placed next to the plate, as it should be, and the napkin next to it, the spacing seemed off. By placing the fork within the napkin it alleviated this problem. Don’t be afraid to break conventions and make your own rules.
Centerpiece
- Vintage French Bread Board {Antique Store}
- Vintage Silver Floral Arrangement {thrifted | DIY}
- Assorted Faux Moss Bunnies {collected}
- Silver Candelabra {inherited}
- Assorted Easter Eggs {craft stores}

The centerpiece is anchored by the vintage floral arrangement, surrounded by faux moss bunnies and scattered Easter eggs. It makes for a whimsical yet elegant presentation. The silver tureen and candelabras bring it up while the organic feels of the moss bring it down. Rustic and refined is always a fun juxtaposition.

Tips & Tricks for Setting a Moss Bunny Inspired Table Styling
Mini Cloche Plate Toppers
As demonstrated above, the mini cloche plate toppers are fairly simple to assemble. You can use any type of medium inside to coordinate with your table theme. You can see other examples of how to use the mini cloches below.

Moss Tabletop Accents
The moss bunnies are the muse of the table and by adding the moss tabletop pieces it compliments and reinforces the whole theme. The tabletop pieces are homespun pieces, which are used on repeat around here. Making your own pieces for table settings creates uniquely affordable looks.

Thrifting for the Win
You don’t need to spend a fortune to set a pretty and festive table. Besides making unique tabletop pieces you can also find economical table top pieces at garage sales, thrifts and flea markets. Many of the pieces on this table are thrifted, including the accent plates, the assorted silverware plus the vintage silver centerpiece.

Other Bunny Options
Bunnies are a natural and common theme for spring tables. Moss bunnies amps up the spring vibes, but there are many bunny options for Spring and Easter themed tables. Other bunny ideas can be seen below.

Use all the Stuff
Use all the fancy stuff on the daily. I know hand washing china, crystal and silver is not at the top of anyone’s list, but indulge once in awhile. I like to pull out our wedding china and all the stuff every so often. Don’t save the good stuff only for holidays. Letting all these special “dishes” simply sit in a cabinet is no fun. If you have grandma Rose’s china, by all means bring it our and enjoy it. By using some refinery you immediately elevate the meal and occasion. We all deserve a touch of the special stuff.

Closing Thoughts
Setting a table is always a therapeutic creative process for me. Setting a table should create an atmosphere to enjoy welcomed company, good food and thought provoking conversation. By creating the right mood it elevates the experience.

I hope this table setting gives some fresh spring vibes. Spring is upon us and gardens are awakening all around us. It’s a time of rebirth and new hope. I hope this inspires you to create or style or design something new for you own home.

Thank you for stopping by today, and I hope to see you again soon. It’s always lovely having you here.
