Easter on a tray blog tour

It’s time for another “on a tray tour” and this one has an Easter theme. A tray is always a great vessel and foundation to create a seasonal vignette by just using a few simple components. Here’s my Easter on a tray decor vignette.

Easter on a tray

Thank you to Katherine from Katherine’s Corner for organizing this blog tour. You will be able to enjoy the tray I am sharing here today, plus also 12 other fantastic bloggers’ Easter tray creations. If you are coming over from the Debbie Dabble blog, so very welcome and I am sure you enjoyed her fantastic Easter on a tray.

the details of the Easter on a tray

Easter decor

For my tray, I created what I’m calling “a field of Easter fun mossy bunnies with a touch of porcelain”. It’s random, I know, because why not? I created this Easter on tray vignette in the foyer. This tray sits on the bombe chest most of the year, so it was an easy decision to just dress it up for Easter.

My collection of moss Easter bunnies plus some spring-y porcelain pieces are arranged around the tray, using some books for height and dimension. All the bunnies have their own personalities and one even got a crown.

Moss bunnies

The big sitting bunny with the crown is perched on books I covered with French script fabric years ago, which you can read all about here {7 ways to decorate books}. The moss, ivy topiary bunny in the gray pot is new this year.

He’s super cute with the sweetest face. I am going to do my best to keep the topiary alive and hopefully the bunny will still be around next year. I picked him up since we sold the bunny topiaries at the shoppe where I work {working at Whim House}.

Easter decorations

The porcelain pieces are a random assortment of items I have pick up here and there. The egg on a stand with the Lily of the Valley detail was a Fitz & Floyd find at I believe Tuesday Morning a gazillion years ago. I love Lily of the Valley flowers, which is the reason I picked up the teacup last year as well. Plus the cute little gold feet just spoke to me too.

I cannot remember where and when I picked up the little egg cup in the middle. I just loved the little detail design and color palette.

The lanterns and candles give the vignette ambience which is an easy touch and instant decor booster.

The large urn with the preserved boxwood sphere sits on this chest most of the year. The urn is a thrift store up-cyle which you can read all about here {refreshing urn transformation part deux}.

other projects related to Easter on a tray

I love decorating with these mossy bunnies every year and you can see how I used them in our Easter tablescape a few years ago. Moss and mercury glass is a favorite combination of mine.

The moss bunnies are always great for any Easter vignette. Here they are with an oversized mercury glass Easter egg and some glitter eggs in a cloche, adding a perfect mix of rustic and refined.
