I know we are all eager to put 2020 behind us. We fully anticipate 2021 with the highest expectations probably put on any new year ever before.
I am praying for a bright, the brightest!, future in 2021. I set the table for New Year’s eve for just the four of us, full of light with votives and tapers and fairy lights and more.
I am optimistic for a brilliant year ahead of us and I set the table with plenty of light to dazzle us into the new year. Every person has their own individual mini cloche full of light to guide them into a bright future.
The middle of the table is lined with candlelit magic among a bed of mercury glass sparkly ornaments.
I used silver tapers and smoky votives and pillar candles as well. Just when I thought I was done I added more. It’s not your normal table and it’s not your normal New Year’s Eve.
I love how all the different candles reflect on the ornaments and silver and glass and china and more.
I know the calendar won’t turn the page to 2021 and POOF! everything will go back to normal but I have high hopes to hug all my loved ones in 2021 {besides he ones I live with}. I have high hopes to travel again and go to theaters and attend concerts and participate in large gatherings.
I have high hopes for a bright future and a new normal that will be even better than the one before. I have bright lights at the table to reflect my thoughts and emotions and I hope the perky optimism is contagious not only to those sitting at this table but for everybody.
I know many share the same sentiments from conversations and texts and posts we’ve shared. I am looking for the bright light to guide us into a great year ahead full of health all around.
Although I set the table at the kitchen table, it is set with porcelain china and crystal glassware and sterling flatware and fine linens and all the fancy stuff to feel special as we look into the magnificent future.
A new year always carries so much hope and aspirations and this year more than ever I feel everyone is looking for brand new hope.
Wishing everyone a happy, hopeful and healthy new year!
