Hello friends! Easter is fast approaching and if you’re hosting family and friends, I am sure you are thinking all things Easter. There’s a menu to plan and decor to arrange and a pretty table to set. Today I am sharing 3 unique ideas for your Easter tablescape design.
Setting a pretty and intentional table always sets the mood for any occasion, and it shows your guests you care. Although I am somewhat of a traditionalist and like to bring out certain things for certain holidays every year, I also like to mix things up from year to year to keep it fun and interesting.
I am sharing three unique table designs you can infuse into your own Easter celebration. You can take away a small detail you might notice or the entire table design from nuts and bolts. My hope is that something inspires you.
The Importance of Setting a Pretty Table; the Art of Tablescaping
I talk plenty around here about tablescaping or table stylings or table designs, which are all interchangeable terms. I thought I would take a minute to talk about this for all my new readers or for anyone who might be interested.
A tablescape is a term that combines your table centerpiece and table setting, or the overall decoration of your table. It is a creative arrangement of items gathered and placed on top of the table to create a unique and memorable experience.
Tablescaping is used to elevate the entertaining experience. Choosing and combining beautiful pieces to compliment a certain theme or feeling is therapeutic to me. The ultimate goal is to set a “mood” and although I love to do it, I know it can be stressful for some. I am sharing these Easter tables in hope it will help you if you need inspiration for your own Easter celebration.

Neutral Easter Tablescape
If you’ve been around here for longer than a hot minute, then you know I tend to lean towards a neutral aesthetic many times. Some may call it boring or lifeless, but it’s serene and calming to me.
Sometimes too much color or pattern clutters my brain. This can be helpful if you don’t own a ton of dishes and tabletop pieces. A basic kitchen should always have a set of white or plain dishes. You don’t need plates in every color or themed motif. With simple added details you can set the mood with your table design.
The centerpiece is always a great way to set the tone and mood of the event, while keeping the place settings neutral. You don’t have to necessarily buy expensive flowers or centerpieces. Here I just have some Easter decor in a vintage dough bowl, and it was perfect for the occasion and table styling.
Mercury Glass & Moss Easter Tablescape
Two muses which are on repeat around here are mercury glass and moss. I combined the two for this table styling, and I love the mix of rustic and glam. The shiny mercury glass eggs are off set by the rustic vibes of the moss.
I combined moss eggs, moss bunnies and moss balls in the centerpiece mingled with mercury glass eggs, compotes and votives. It has the push and pull of rustic and refined, which always makes me happy.
The juxtaposition is continued further with the flatware, crystal and china versus the willow chargers and napkin rings. The simple napkin|silverware arrangement on top of the plate stack adds an air of casualness, but the china and glass refinery remind you it’s a special table.
I actually have a new moss Easter table scape planned for this year, which I will be sharing very soon. I can’t believe how early Easter is this year, and I have so many Easter projects I want to share here!
Faux Chocolate Bunnies Easter Tablescape
This was a very fun table to put together. The faux chocolate bunnies is a great hack using Dollar Spot bunny figurines. You could also find some at thrift stores or garage sales.
Each place setting has an individual faux chocolate bunny as a special detail. Plus there are more bunnies scattered throughout the centerpiece with moss, greenery and flowers. There’s tons of freshness with a touch of whimsy from the bunnies.
The DIY tutorial to make the bunnies is included in the post with the tablescape. I’ve used these chocolate bunnies in so many ways for Easter and it’s such an easy hack.

Closing Thoughts About the Easter Table Styling Process
You will notice I always use my Lenox china dinner plates, Waterford crystal glasses and Camusso sterling flatware. These were all engagement and wedding gifts, and almost thirty years later they are the foundation of most special tables around here. That’s the power of classic and timeless pieces.
The fun part is deciding how to dress these puppies up and design the table around them. Sometimes I go super elegant and other times a take a more rustic approach. You can do this with the linens, including napkins, table runner, tablecloth, etc. Also little details like napkin rings, plate toppers, place cards and more can really set a table apart.
Remember we live in an era where there are no rules. This is not the gilded age where you are being judged by how you set a table. You do you. Mix and match pieces, one of my favorite things to do; use what you have in unexpected ways; make the table styling your own and feel comfortable in it.
