great spring table setting idea

I hope everyone had a blessed Easter surrounded with loved ones.  We hosted at home with just intimate family, which was low key and a wonderful family bonding experience.  Today I am sharing the great spring table setting idea we used.

I wanted to share what I did at everyone’s place settings for our easter tablescape.  instead of a floral centerpiece(s), I opted with individual mini vases with fresh blooms from our front yard at each guests place setting.  Super simple.  super easy.  super pretty with great design appeal.

It is a special detail with thoughtfulness that makes every person at the table feel special.  You could actually go as far as making them favors for all to take home with them, extending the thoughtfulness from your home to theirs.

This also goes beyond easter or spring.  It can be used in so many ways with different flowers or greenery or succulents or herbs.  So many great ideas for so many occasions and throughout the seasons at different times of the year.

This would be a great mother’s day table idea or for a baby shower with pink or blue flowers identifying the baby’s gender.  It goes without saying for a bridal shower using the bride’s favorite blooms.  really i can think of a million ideas.

You can also play with the vessel.  I have a set of 12 of these glass containers for appetizers.  I use them for soups or individual servings of veggies & dip and they are great for desserts as well.  This is the first time I’ve used them for flowers and it won’t be the last.

This would be super cute with tea cups or mason jars or miniature urns.  My wheels are spinning!  So funny I just decided to do this last minute since most of my easter decor was still in the attic and I was not motivated to get it down.  lol.

Sometimes less is more.  I hope this inspires you to set a pretty table with some delicate flowers at everyone’s place setting.  It doesn’t have to be fancy.  I would not be surprised to find out that the flowers I used here are actually a weed.   They have been here since we bought the house and I have no idea what they are.

  1. This is beautiful Mary Jo and I’m already thinking of the herbs I’d like to use. The quote at the end of the post really caught my eye. I use to see a doctor a few years back whose name is Debasish Mrida. I googled him and pages and pages of quotes came up along with his picture. That’s my doctor!
Thank you for sharing with us at Celebrate Your Story and have a great weekend.

  3. This really spoke to me! It is casually elegant and serene and warmly welcoming. The centerpiece is arresting, the individual vases of flowers are charming. The mix of fine china and rustic chargers adds such interest. I will definitely use some of your ideas, so thanks for sharing!
