spring kitchen tablescape

Spring tablescape
Remember these pretty, little white blooms I shared last time?  You can see them here.
Well, there’s a ton of them in the front yard.
And they are so sweet and delicate.
So I wanted to use them inside somehow.
Spring tablescape1
But they are so small I was having a hard time figuring out what type of vessel to showcase them in.
And then it HIT me!  Eggshells!   They are the perfect size and they totally lend themselves to the season.
Spring tablescape2
I’ve seen versions of this throughout blogland and pintrest and magazines, and you get the idea.
But I’ve never done it myself.
Spring tablescape3
I wanted to create a special table for our family since we aren’t hosting easter this year.
The kids love to celebrate holidays so I didn’t want to disappoint.
Plus I love to do it so I had to think of something.
Spring tablescape4
Well, come to find out we will be hosting easter after all.
So now II’m in full preparation mode.
Spring tablescape5
There’s still some easter projects I haven’t completed so I’m sprinting to the finish line.
You all know what I’m talking about.
Spring tablescape6
Our easter menu stays pretty consistant when we host with just a few tweaks here and there (apps &|or dessert).
I need to finalize Master & Miss Masterpiece’s baskets.  As well as add party favors for our guests.
Spring tablescape7
If I get my act together in time I will share the easter tablescape I use this year.
You can see some of my previous tablescapes here.
Spring tablescape8
You will find me prepping, shopping, cleaning and tweaking around here the rest of the week.
Happy holiday planning!

  5. Those are so precious and adorable! I love that idea. I will be pinning this for sure! I hosted Easter this year, but had to move my big old toolbox to make room for all of the food. These would have been lovely additions to the table! Thanks so much for coming to the party!

  24. Everything about this table is charming and inviting. I have similar white egg cups, and I’m going to try little flower blooms in an egg as you’ve done. Also thing the cloche with the eggs is a fun look. I did something like that on a smaller scale. Thanks for the inspiration and Happy Easter.

  25. Thanks so much Sarah and I am glad you got some inspiration! I love adding seasonal touches under cloches. Have a wonderful Easter! XO_ MJ
