Moss is an easy choice for Spring decor with its green color and natural freshness. Come on in and let’s talk all about different ways to use moss in Spring and Easter decor.
Wreaths
Wreaths are welcoming happy elements to add to any decor arrangement, and by adding moss it immediately amps the fresh and organic vibes that symbolizes all things Spring.
Wreaths are not only for front doors, but can be sprinkled through out the home inside and out. Some placement ideas include over the mantel or hung on a mirror or even propped on a shelf, not requiring to be hung.
Containers
Spring is all about fresh blooms and unique organic containers compliment the freshness of the flowers.
Tin cans wrapped in moss make an easy and inexpensive mossy container.
Floral Cone
Beyond basic moss containers, a hanging moss floral cone offers additional options for displays.
Hanging a moss cone spilling with fresh blooms adds a Spring vibe anywhere.
Planter Arrangement
Rustic elements with assorted mosses in a vintage cast iron planter gives all the organic feels.
The moss planter arrangement is complimented with other outdoorsy elements, bringing the outside in.
Bowl Filler
There’s nothing fresher and easier than simply filling a basket, a trough, a bowl or any decor vessel with moss balls.
Moss of different sizes and colors and shapes add additional interest to the texture they already inject to any decor vignette.
Moss Table Top Elements
Adding moss accents to a table styling adds freshness and interest, which say Spring in a very understated manner.
Plate Chargers
These moss plate chargers are an easy DIY, which are used around here often for many table designs.
Moss chargers can be dressed down with casual tabletop wares or elevated with finer china and other elegant pieces. The juxtaposition of rustic and refined is always a good combination.
Table Runner
Along with the plate charger a table runner might be even easier to put together. I have included an option in the shopping section for your convenience, but I assembled the piece below simply using burlap and sheets of moss.
A mossy runner adds tons of nature inspiration to any centerpiece design.
Napkin Rings
This is another easy DIY. I don’t have a step by step tutorial for these, but I think I might revisit the project and create a dedicated post.
Napkin rings usually bring a touch of refinement and elegance to a table setting. The moss napkin rings is an unexpected rustic feel to an otherwise fancy detail.
Place Setting Accent
A super easy way to add mossy texture and freshness to a table is by simply adding an accent piece on the top of the plate stack.
It’s a simple technique to add a moss ball or rock, but it adds so much interest to the table setting. you could even pin a name card to create mossy place cards.
Moss Easter Elements
Spring is highlighted by the Easter holiday and mossy touches are right at home with Easter decor as well.
Moss Cross
The cross has all the symbolism of rebirth and renewal for the Easter holiday. By creating this simple moss cross it adds the fresh feels of the Spring season.
Plus a cross may be displayed in the home throughout the year not only for the Easter holiday.
Moss Bunnies
Moss bunnies whether in mass or a simple focal piece are a wonderful fresh accent for Easter decor.
Beyond the Easter bunny, bunnies have great staying power throughout the spring season and into summer time.
Moss Easter Eggs
Moss balls are a great decor accent all year round and a moss Easter egg is a natural extension.
It’s an easy DIY to create moss eggs, or there are plenty to be found in the marketplace. For your convenience, there are some options in the shopping section.
