valentine’s day tablescape 2016

I set a valentine’s day inspired tablescape today with the help of little Miss Masterpiece.
V-day tablescape1
I’ve been wanting to make a music sheet runner f.o.r.e.v.e.r. !
V-day tablescape2
& I thought valentine’s day was the perfect occasion for it ~  romantic & nostalgic.
V-day tablescape3
I had everything on hand with a few details I picked up here & there.
V-day tablescape4
Miss Masterpieces sprinkled the roses & chocolates down the table, which I picked up at the dollar tree the other day.
As soon as I was done taking pictures the kids were eating the chocolates.
LOL- I did buy them with them in mind.
The roses are scented soaps that we will be enjoying in bubble baths.
V-day tablescape5
The individual place settings started with the fabric plaid chargers I shared here.
V-day tablescape6
Layered with our bistro dinner plate, glass salad plate from Target, black & white mini baker, topped with a mercury glass heart ornament I purchased after Christmas a couple of years ago.
V-day tablescape7
What I did buy this year were the little slate tags I used around the napkin & silverware.
V-day tablescape8
I bought them at Target to label all the valentine’s day gifts.
V-day tablescape9
They worked perfectly here and once everyone opens their valentine’s day gifts, I can then get them back & use them for cheese platters, buffets, etc. & a gazillion other uses I can’t think of right now.

At Target I also picked up the super cute straws.  The Target items were all from the $1 bin section.  I love that area for this simple reason.
