I love sheet music.
I always pick up sheet music while thrifting.
I select the older books that have yellowed with age and they always costs cents to a couple dollars depending on the thickness of the booklet.
worth.every.penny.  {literally}
I use it in so many ways, including crafting, decorating and entertaining.
Today I’m sharing how to use sheet music in tablescapes in several different ways.
I shared how I used sheet music to make a table runner a few weeks back on my valentine’s day tablescape.
You can view the whole post here with more pictures.
I also used sheet music as place mats a few years ago for a dinner party.
I figured I could just throw out the sheets if they got spilled on, water marked, etc., but they actually made it through the evening unharmed.
And I just recently made napkin rings thinking about springy | easter tablescapes.
I started by using toilet paper rolls as my form.
Super easy.
Just cut each roll in half.
This is how it looked when I started.
I made 8 napkin rings so I used 4 rolls.
Then I cut strips from the sheet music slightly wider than the forms & used pinking sheers on the edges.
I glued the sheet music strips onto the forms & then added some twine for a bit of detail & texture.
Viola!  I love the end result.
Super easy.  Super inexpensive.  Super charming.
If we host easter they will definitely be gracing our table.
We still haven’t figured out our easter plans put this small detail might sway me.
Sheet music can also work as a centerpiece.
I use scrolls in cloches, bowls, vases, etc. as decor all the time and they can easily be added to a tabletop.
I also decorated my dollar tree candle with sheet music, burlap & twine.
I haven’t done this yet, but you can also add sheet music to votive holders to add more impact.
I love the vintage, nostalgic feel sheet music adds.
Also I love that if I need 8 or 12 or 20 place settings it’s easy to add more keeping it all simple & uniform.
happy entertaining !
