The springtime weather around here inspired me to set a sunny, happy tablescape. Pops of yellow on this table design gives all the spring, sunny vibes accented with a rustic farmhouse style.

The color yellow is associated with the sun and symbolizes optimism, energy, joy, happiness and friendship. I love the color yellow, and I used it in my recent spring styling I shared the other day {a new foyer styling with spring decor}.

Is spring springing in your part of the world? The weather is finally sunny and warm and spring-like around here, which totally has me in spring mode. Around here, in Northern California, the weather was really rainy and cold and long this winter. The weather has finally broken in the last week. We have spring projects going around our home and in the gardens. Today let’s focus on this sunny rustic farmhouse tablescape, but I have plenty of other spring projects to share.

details for a sunny, rustic farmhouse tablescape
Yellow was the inspiration for this table design. From the flowers to the lemons and the linens. It’s a cheery, happy table design, and it has all the spring time vibes.

The general aesthetic of the table runs rustic farmhouse with a little boho-ish flair. There’s great organic feels from the willow chargers, to the wooden appetizer plates and the wood lanterns.

To set a no fuss, comfortable table, everything is mixed and matched; but yet the styling is highly detailed and interesting. I love accumulating and curating pieces to my tabletop repertoire from inherited family treasures, to thrifty finds, to highly coveted and desired items.
place settings at a sunny, rustic farmhouse tablescape
Nothing on the table is a matching set, which gives off the boho vibes I love so much.

plate stack details
- willow chargers {Pier 1}
- organic, cream dinner plates {Home Goods}
- assorted warm gray accent plates {Wonki Ware}
- mango wood appetizer plates
- Myer Lemons {tree in the backyard}

place setting details
The silverware is a collected silver-plate assortment. I acquired the knife and fork dinner set, during my consigning days. I also have a big collection of assorted appetizer forks, which I use during big cocktail parties. The latest addition are the spoons, which I shared here {thrifted goodies – insights & inspiration}.

The wine glasses were also thrift store finds, which I will be sharing more about really soon. I shared them recently in this tablescape {copper-y spring table}. The green rimmed glasses are made from recycled glass and are part of our everyday collection.

The napkins with the yellow ticking stripe are actually tea towels. I love to use good quality kitchen towels as napkins for their oversized dimensions and great texture. These are Italian linens and of fabulous quality. They were part of our spring tent sale at Whim House and I got a great deal on them.

The centerpiece is simple, allowing all the textures and details to shine.

- copper tub floral arrangment {thrifted}
- lanterns {Parkhill}

In the same thrifting excursions {thrifted goodies – insights & inspirations}, where I found the spoons, the thrifting Gods graced me with this amaZing copper tub. I have a feeling you will be seeing this copper trough in many projects around here.
If you don’t want to miss out on any of the upcoming projects you can subscribe to receive all my new posts to your in-box.
The yellow flowers in the copper tub are called Calceolaria, which are new to me. They are very different, and they are described as having an orchidlike flower. I will be using them in a planter in the back patio. If you’ve been around here for awhile you know how much I love container gardening.

The Parkhill lanterns have been around here forever, and they get shuffled around the house depending on the season and holiday.

I hope this gets you in a bright sunshine-y mood. I am ready to start spilling our homes to outdoor spaces and enjoying the great outdoors.

I thought we were on our way to spring here in Ohio, but they are talking about snow on the news in May. All I know is that everything seems to be confused, from the daffodils, to even the grass. You table setting looks lovely, the lemons are a nice touch, even better since they came from your yard!
I totally get it. Today was totally cold & it’s going to rain tomorrow. Not the spring days I was anticipating. The weather is upside down everywhere. XO- MJ
I love this sunshiny table! I’ll be featuring it on tomorrow’s Crafty Creators. Thanks for sharing!
