A Green Valentine’s Day Decor Vignette

Last year I shared Valentine’s Day vignettes in traditional colors here {Valentine’s Day vignettes – 3 color ways}.?Today I am stepping outside the Valentine’s Day box and using my favorite color, green, to create a vignette in our foyer to welcome Valentine’s Day.

I am really not a pink or red gal for my interior decor so this actually lends itself more to my style.?I love how the foyer green Valentine’s Day vignette looks and it can segway right into spring without skipping a beat.?

As soon as I saw this burnished heart medallion on the distressed green stand come through my feed, I started obsessing.?It must be sold out since I just searched for it on the Anthropologie website and couldn’t find it.?I am so happy I got it.?They had three different sizes and this one is the small version.

I love Milagro hearts and this fits right into all the feels.?This new green distressed piece is the center stage for the vignette.?For the rest of the components in the green Valentine’s Day decor vignette I simply added pieces from around my home.?One simple new piece made it all come together.?

The green Valentine’s vignette is set on the bombe chest in the foyer.?I piled it high with so many pieces I love with a few hearts to give a hint of the upcoming holiday.?It’s all corralled on a tray, flanked by rustic lanterns.?

In the back of the chest, I have the green burnished heart inspiration piece on a stack of books and a thrifted urn I up-cycled here {refreshing urn transformation part deux}.?The urn is topped off with a preserved boxwood sphere.?

Vintage books are stacked throughout the vignette.?They always make great risers and add such great texture and interest to decor. I also tucked the little packages wrapped in thrifted sheet music I used for this project {a nutcracker suite tablescape}.

The vintage sheet music gives me all the romantic vibes.?A stack on one side holds a scented candle in a bee crown.?I love a scented candle in the foyer to always greet guests with a sweet aroma.?On the other side green transfer ware bowls hold a metal jeweled decorative orb.?

Front and center are a jeweled crown and monogramed heart on a stack of distressed vintage books.?Next to it is the dainty green vase I found thrifting last year here {thrifted goodies – insights & inspirations}.?A few faux blooms tucked in the vase add a bit of sweetness.

To crown the entire vignette is a heart wreath.?You can see all the details of this organic DIY here {heart wreath}.?It’s one of my favorite Valentine’s Day pieces.?

Another favorite detail is the ring of skeleton keys I found at an estate sale years ago.?They have so much great patina on them and I always wonder what stories they could tell.

I am so ready for spring.?Some days are spring like around here.?The ornamental pear trees in the backyard are starting to bloom and some bulbs in the front yard are starting to sprout.?I am ready for all things spring and will start sharing some spring goodness soon.?

Other days we have dreary rainy days.?This past weekend we had heavy rains with major wind gusts.?It made a mess of the area and we were actually out of electricity for an entire day.?It was not fun!

I just had to share my little helper.?She’s always around the corner, curious and playful.?She’s our little love and it will be her first Valentine’s Day celebration?.??

Thank you for being here and Ill see you next time. Au Revoir!
