We’ll be hosting Thanksgiving again this year.
So my mind is on Thanksgiving-y decor, menu, tablescape, etc.
I’m working on my table | dining room at the moment & I hope to be able to share soon.
In the meantime I thought I would share my place cards from last year.
I love silhouettes.
So I found Thanksgiving themed images online & created these using shipping tags.
Super easy for the most part.
I had to use some photoshop action for a couple of them (ship & cornucopia) but otherwise it was pretty smooth sailing.
And totally worth it ‘cuz they were a big hit.
I distressed the tags and on the back I stamped them so everyone could write what they were thankful for that year. We went around the table and shared our thoughts.
Everyone wanted to take theirs home to keep.
OF COURSE!
That’s the whole point right?
I have the 4 from our family & I think I might create a banner with them this year to hang in the dining room.
Like I said I’m still working on Thanksgiving as many out in blogland & beyond are already in Christmas tinsel up to their elbows but I’m holding out until the weekend after Thanksgiving.
{sorry about the quality of the photographs. I took them quickly last year for my own entertaining file. So they are not necessarily blog worthy but I wanted to share anyway}

These are darling! I love the silhouettes you used. We always tell about what we are thankful for, but writing it down is a great idea. We usually try to add a twist by changing it up from year to year. One time we had to say something that started with the first letter of our name. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
