fluffing fall outside

I’ve been fluffing our nest.

Getting ready for the Thanksgiving celebration.

I added this simple detail to a couple of sconces outside.  Some burlap ribbon & a large pinecone all the way from South Carolina (via my in-laws, love them!).

Using  florist wire I hung them flanking the church pew as you walk up to the front door.

Simple detail but adds a festive feel.

After Thanksgiving I’ll just add some greenery and transition right into Christmas.

Remember the wreath I made a while back?  Well, I removed the Halloween spookiness (you can read about that here) and added some simple pinecones.

I was considering adding some hydrangeas from the backyard but not sure.

What do you think?

The pinecones are such a subtle detail and sometimes less is more.

I’m on the fence though because I love hydrangeas so.

I already have hydrangeas in the urns, peeking thru the pumpkins.

I have a green | gray pumpkin from The Home Depot

Sitting on top of a Cinderella green pumpkin from Trader Joe’s.

I love all the textures & muted colors.  It screams fall to me.

Notice my Christmas lights are already hung up on the oustide of the house?

One of the few Christmas things that gets done before Thanksging every year,

And only because someone else is doing it.  lol.

I injected a little bit of fall in the back patio as well.

I just can’t help myself.  L love these pumpkins!

And these beauties sit out front too.

So pretty ~ ready to welcome our guests..

I’m still fluffing inside.

Here’s a little glimpse.

A little bit of nature.

A little bit of shine.

All the mercury glass shine welcomes our guests as they step into out foyer.

I’m grateful that I can share my home with loved ones during this holiday season.

I believe my menu is set for the most part.

My tablescape is also pretty set in my mind.
