Tips & Tricks
Please note the pickled cherry peppers have sweet and spicy varieties. The peppers tend to have a sweetness with a bit of a zing. The creamy cheese mixture is a great compliment to the complex flavor of the cherry peppers. I find the pickled cherry peppers in the deli section of a local grocery store. I know you can also find jar options, which I have included in the shopping section below for your convenience.

Allowing the cheese to sit out and soften to the appropriate consistency makes handling and combining the mixture easier. The whipped cream cheese variety is also key in creating a fluffy mixture. The whipped cream cheese creates the silky texture while the herbed Boursin provides the flavor.

I prefer to use a piping bag, which makes it pretty, but you can always use a small spoon to stuff the peppers. I use a tall glass to help me stuff the pipping bag. Also I suggest using a larger piping tip to make sure the cheese can flow through smoothly. If you don’t have a piping bag you can also use a ziplock bag and simply snip a little piece off of a corner to pipe the cheese through. Reusable and disposable piping kit options are also included in the shopping section below.

I used a bed of rosemary to plate the stuffed cherry peppers since we have plenty growing in our garden, but you can use any variety of herb or even lettuce would be a great option. I would just recommend using something to secure the cherry peppers since they tend to roll around a bit. I’ve used arugula in the past. I also garnished the cheese with snipped chives since I had some left over. Parsley is also a great alternative.

Closing Thoughts
This is a great entertaining recipe whether you are having an intimate gathering or a large crowd. You can double the recipe if necessary. They key is to have equal amounts of both cheese varieties, balancing texture and flavor. Recipes were some of the best posts of 2024 on the blog, so I plan to share more recipes in the upcoming year.

I hope you enjoyed this easy and festive appetizer selection, which is perfect for a New Year’s Celebration. Happy New Year and wishing everyone health and happiness.
