Rustic Easter decor provides a relaxed and provincial feel for your home. Here are ideas for rustic Easter decor to adorn your fireplace mantel.

The mantel tends to be a focal point in rooms, which makes it the perfect canvas for seasonal decor without having to decorate the entire house. Our living room fireplace mantel is one of the first things our guests see so I love decorating it appropriately for the seasons.

If you have been around here for some time you know I love organic and rustic vibes in my life always complimented with a vintage touch. I decorated the mantel for Easter with a woodsy, rustic vibe and I am sharing the details with you today.

As a nod to the Easter holiday I used a wood bunny and a collection of wooden eggs. To compliment these Easter wood accents I also used some wooden architectural ornaments and bark pillar candles.

For vintage touches I have the gilded decorative books ends from my parents, the old crockery jug from France, which is a recent acquisition from Whim House, and the thrifted vintage books.

The bookends are actually wall corbels that I turned on their side. The bookends, aka corbels, give off an architectural vibe, which I am always attracted to. The mini cast iron urns add to the architectural look and feel as well.

rustic Easter decor ideas overview

  • ⚜️Wooden Easter decor items {bunny & eggs}
  • ⚜️Wood accents {bark pillar candles & wood ornaments}
  • ⚜️Vintage pieces {books, bookends & jug}
  • ⚜️Architectural objects {corbels, cloche & urns}
  • ⚜️Color palette {neutral creams, tans & browns}

I kept the mantel very neutral and monochromatic but a splash of color could be easily added with flowers. Colorful eggs can also be used for more vibrancy if that’s your jam. Also books with bright bindings could add a color of choice.

Muted colors are very peaceful to me and I tend to lean that way. Here you can see how I used these same Easter pieces last year in a vignette in the front foyer.

Also here is our Easter mantel last year, which was very muted, simple and serene.

A few years ago I created an Easter mantel-scape with more vibrancy using mercury glass and floral touches. Yet the color palette is still very tight. lol. Yup that’s my thing.
