rustic Easter carrots wreath frame

Decorating a vintage frame for a seasonal touch is an easy and creative way to inject some magic into your home. This rustic Easter carrots wreath frame gives all the seasonal vibes.

The vintage frame hangs in my dining room and provides the perfect canvas for a seasonal touch. I hung these grapevine carrots layered on eucalyptus and Viola! That’s it.

If you’re a regular reader you might remember it started with my {easy frame wreath tutorial}. In this post I have all the step by step instructions on how to create your own frame wreath.

I created the original vintage frame wreath for St. Valentines day and then updated it for Saint Patrick’s Day {St. Patrick’s day wreath}. It is super easy and super fun. The chippy shutters are the perfect backdrop for the wreath frame.

Now with the grapevine carrots it gives it all the Easter vibes. I bought these grapevine carrots a few years ago at Joann Fabrics. The rustic appeal the grapevine carrots give off just.gets.me.every.time.

The carrots have a twine loop at the top so to attach the carrots to the frame I simply tied them together with some jute twine to hang them all as a cluster from the frame. It’s a very simple project, which takes no time at all but carries a big punch.

a little back story…

Years ago I originally saw a picture of grapevine carrots on Pinterest, sourced from Terrain, which I immediately pinned. Terrain was no longer carrying them at the time and I became obsessed. Luckily I found them a few years later, albeit a little bit different but grapevine carrots none the less. You can see my {Spring Fling Pinterest board} for more Spring decor ideas.

It’s silly to become obsessed with something as insignificant as grapevine carrots, I know, but I adore them. You can see how I used them as the centerpiece for our {Easter tablescape} last year in a dough bowl.

They were a great Easter welcome to our friends and family a few years ago, hanging on our front door, since I love using them in different ways. This year they are the star of my rustic carrots Easter frame wreath.

The eucalyptus is still the same bunch I used back in February for the first version. I love how it dried and will continue to use it until it becomes too brittle and begins to shed. You can’t see it much since the carrots take up most of the space, but a couple of leaves peek out.

The vintage frame wreath will continue to play throughout the year during different seasons and for various holidays. Of course I will always share it here for all my readers to see and hopefully be inspired.

Easter is a few weeks away and I am putting the finishing touches on our decor around our home for the holiday. I also have a few projects brewing, which I am super excited about. I will be sharing all of it over the next couple of weeks.
