So continuing on my metals series I wanted to showcase cast iron today.
Now I’m not talking about the pots & pans version, but more the architectural, decorative pieces.
the majority of my cast iron pieces are urns|planters as you can see.
The three medium sized rusty urns usually reside in my dining room and sometimes the mantel.
The other items rotate around the house depending on inspiration, season and fancy.
I don’t use cast iron for cooking, but I love it in my home decor.
And I don’t know much about cast iron except that I’m attracted to it.
What I do know about cast iron is that it’s incredibly heavy and it also tends to be pricey.
We have two large black urns on the front porch as well and because of their size and weight I couldn’t schlep them inside.
I really want a pair of white low profile urns {preferably with handles} to flank my fireplace in the living room but all the ones I’ve found that I like are out of my price range; so the hunt continues.
