Well, Labor Day signifies the end of the summer to me. growing up going to the Jersey shore every summer, Memorial Day kicks off the summer while Labor Day shuts the door firmly on the season.
I’m a California girl now and we know the temperatures will remain high for awhile {and I’m not complaining by any means} but I love Fall and my thoughts have turned to fall decor, recipes, crafts, etc. AND I know I am not alone here from all the fall posts throughout blogland.
I haven’t decorated for fall yet except my coffee table in the living room, which I shared in my last post and you can read here.
So in the meantime before I pull out my Fall decor and start moving things around for this year I thought I would share some images from years past.
Let’s start outside with our Fall porch from last year.
Last time I went to the garden nursery, and I visited a few mind you, there were no mums to be found yet. So I’m waiting patiently.
I also showed how to craft with dollar tree pumpkins using spray paint, chalkboard paint, moss, & old books.
You can read all the details here if you want to try some of these yourself.
Besides faux pumpkins I also like to decorate with plenty of real pumpkins.
Last year I loaded the birdcage in the living room with real pumpkins which was super easy and simple. I loved the relaxed & rustic look.
Same white pumpkins with some great stems made it into the dining room.
I am thinking and hoping that real pumpkins will start to pop up up in the stores and farms soon.
I’m ready for them! I guess I should pull out all the faux ones from the attic in the meantime.
Have you started your fall decorating yet or are you holding onto summer?
Happy Fall y’all !
