fall transition

So the calendar has turned the page to September and we have attended both back to school nights at the middle school & high school and the whether has started to turn a tiny, teensy bit around here so I started to slowly transition some things to fall.

Fall transition1

I changed the decor on our living room coffee table to reflect the upcoming season.  Baby steps.
This is what our coffee table looked like all summer.  Nice and simple and it really could sit like this most of the year but I was ready for a change.  You can all relate, right?

Fall transition2

I used a large silver tray to corral a bunch of mercury glass with votives | candles and natural elements.  I like the mix of lux & rustic.

Fall transition3

You can read about this large sterling tray here and you can also see how I created some of these mercury glass items myself here.

Fall transition4

I have not ventured into the attic yet to pull down our fall decor.  Once I get to it next week, I’ll share some more fall decor and transitions around here.

Fall transition5

As we all settle into our new schedules & routines for the school year I have some projects brewing in my head to help us organize ourselves better as a family.  I will make sure to share it here with everyone.

Fall transition6

We’ll be heading to the beach for the long weekend and I’m looking forward to some family time.  Wishing everyone a safe and joyous holiday.
Happy Labor Day !
