Green & Yellow Easter Coffee Table Vignette
Can you believe Easter is less than a week away?!? I am finalizing all the details for our Easter celebration next weekend. A festive Easter vignette sits all pretty on the living room coffee table. Come inside and let me share all the details about this green & yellow Easter vignette.
As most of you know green is my favorite color, and yellow is a close second. These colors lend themselves to bring all the Easter and spring feels. They are bright and fun and full of happiness, setting a festive seasonal tone.
It’s amazing how much color can be a mood setter. This simple vignette makes me happy, and I smile every time I catch a glimpse. It’s simple; a simple arrangement with seasonal details.
Details About the Green & Yellow Easter Coffee Table Vignette
A Very Old & Special Coffee Table
As I mentioned above, I set the vignette on the coffee table in the living room. The coffee table is an antique French carved wood table I inherited from my parents. The paint treatment has a beautiful patina, and although it has been damaged here and there through the years, I do not dare change it.
Thrifted Books
The green paint on the coffee table offers the perfect backdrop for this seasonal styling. On one side of the table, sits a stack of green and yellow books I recently found at a thrift store. The bigger two books are gardening books, which are prefect subject matter and only costs $2 each.
The top book is a Reader’s Guide compilation, which I see regularly at thrift stores. There were a few to pick from during this shopping excursion and the colors on this one just paired well with the others. This cost a bit more at $3.50. I probably would have not picked it up if it didn’t coordinate with the other two books I was buying.
To top off the stack of books, sit a faux chocolate bunny and a green marble Easter egg as a nod to the holiday. The rest of the green marble egg collection sits in a compote on the other side of the table. You can read about making your own faux chocolate bunny here {faux chocolate bunny Easter mantel styling}.
Wood Pedestal Base
A wooden decorative pedestal sits on the other side of the table to corral the smaller complimentary accents. Pieces like this, whether they are baskets or trays or crates, are great for corralling a vignette together.
The remaining hydrangeas from this project {a shamrock inspired tablescape for St. Patrick’s Day} are in a slender etched bud vase, providing freshness. A porcelain compote holds more marble eggs, while a small porcelain tea cup with a yellow flower motif holds the hyacinth floral Easter egg I made last year {floral Easter egg DIY}.
A thrifted vintage plate, converted into a pedestal compote holds a handful of smudge sticks with another faux chocolate bunny peeking out. I love all the texture and details these little guys always bring to the party. I have a massed a collection I sprinkle throughout the house. Although I don’t use them in the conventional way & burn them, I do hope they bring good vibes into our spaces.
Candles always bring movement and ambiance to a styling so I added a gold pillar candle to a brass crown to tie in with other pieces in the vignette.
More to the Easter Styling
Across from the coffee table sits the side table in front of the large picture window. The ornamental birdcage sits centered with some Easter details to mirror and compliment the coffee table styling.
An Easter tree with sparkly gold, green and cream eggs shimmers, while a hydrangea floral egg sits in a porcelain cup at its feet. Another faux chocolate bunny sits by the Pilea plant on a stack of books.
The ornamental birdcage is flanked by candles that come on automatically every evening, flickering in the windows. I hope you enjoyed this little bit of Easter happiness in our home. Our kiddos are home on Spring Break and will be with us for Easter this year, which makes the holiday that much more special for us.
I hope I can squeeze a few more Easter posts in before Sunday, since believe it or not I am still finalizing some final details.
