If you’re a regular reader around here, you might remember these blush pink place mats I bought deeply discounted last year at an after season sale. I used them for a Valentine’s Day table at the time, but since I have them in the Iinen closet, I thought I would indulge in the pink Christmas trend. And here we are.

Pink for the holidays is not my jam, but our guest room use to be decorated in shabby chic florals. I had bought this pack of pink floral ornaments to decorate the guest room at the time. We no longer have said guest room, and although I have thought about donating the ornaments a few times, I held on to them. I really like them, although they really don’t fit into my usual holiday decor. I recently used them in another project, and enter my mini me and of course she called dibs. Insert happy dance here. She’s my pink girl. I’m using the ornaments for this table project, but they will grace the tree in Lexi’s room once she’s back for winter break.

All the shades of pink from blush pink to rose gold to dusty rose give the table a soft romantic appeal. The swans coordinate with the dreamy vibe for the pink themed holiday table. If you’re new around here, I recently found these vintage swans in my thrifting adventures, and I’m a bit obsessed. I will be injecting them into any and all seasonal decor.

I’ve been looking for more swans in my last thrift shopping outings, but the thrifting Gods have not been on my side. I will continue to hunt shop for them, since they add a great unexpected decor detail, which I am all about. Now onto the festive pink Christmas table.

This is a huge departure from my normal Christmas style, and I am loving it. It goes to show that sometimes it’s good to break out of our comfort zone and stretch our creativity. The table styling still has my vintage signature style, but the color palette gives it a different feel. The vintage touches add interest, and the different materials add texture, while the color palette adds a cozy festive mood.

The plate stack is eclectic, mixing and matching different patterns and styles. This tends to set a casual and relaxed tone to a table setting. I love the look of an elegant matching table setting, but designing a table with assorted dishes adds a layer of interest. The added intention to find dishes which compliment each other and bring the theme together is a fun creative process.

Creating different table stylings does not require a huge investment. Many of my table top pieces are either thrifted or DIYed. I just created the wreath napkin rings, which took two seconds. I’m not kidding. I will share this napkin ring hack in a subsequent post, and you won’t believe how easy this is. I love the texture it adds plus it compliments the wreath design around the dinner plate, adding a pop of color to all the pink hues.

Note: I have included same or similar table top items for your convenience. There are also more options in the shopping section below.

The swans are the star of the show here, and they are perfect with Christmas baubles. I love how they pair with the thrifted brass candle sticks. The assortment of different candle sticks add depth to the centerpiece design. The brass candlesticks are paired with crystal candle sticks and a pink depression glass candle stick and the ornate brass and marble piece might be my favorite.

The table is grounded by a simple white linen table cloth. It creates a neutral backdrop for the table design, and I highly recommend including one in your linens if you don’t already have one. This is one of the first table cloths we splurged on as newlyweds, and it’s the one I use the most over 20 years later.

Topping the plate stack with an ornament with a velvet ribbon is a simple touch, which makes the table super festive and makes every guest feel special. The ornament and ribbon can be adapted to any theme you decide for your table design.

A theme whether a motif or color palette is always a good place to start for a table design. Although this is a Christmas table, both the pink color palette and the swan planters spring boarded the table design. .

Candlelight is always a mood booster and ambience setter for any table setting. Mismatched candlesticks mix well with the table styling. Chances are your pieces will mix and match well too since they have your signature style.

The pink theme will make any Christmas table not only festive but also feel chic, contemporary, and full of warmth. The swans add an unexpected twist with a playful touch. Experimenting with seasonal decor is delightful and exciting.

I hope you enjoyed this charming table styling. If you create your own beautiful pink Christmas table please make sure to share. I would love to see. I am still working on wrapping up our Christmas decorating. I am close to done. See you next time.
