We are just shy of a month away from the official start of the Fall season. And I know many of us have started to dabble in the Autumnal vibes one way or another. I thought I would share some Fall tables I have set in years past to get some ideas rolling.
The weather has been sweltering around here. Last week we reached temps over 100o and now the weather has settled into the nineties and high eighties on a good day. Needless to say the weather clouds visions of pumpkins and mums and hay stacks so a transitional table between summer and early fall is a good way to take baby steps into the next season.

Moving away from summer all together we can focus on early Fall vibes. Too soon for real pumpkins you can use faux pumpkins mixed with vegetables that evoke Fall feels. I used artichokes and purple kale for my centerpiece but you can also use squash or cabbage or eggplants or the list goes on.
I like the softer hues for early Fall rather than the bright, robust colors that will come later in the season.

A great foil for tablescapes besides beautiful vegetables are bountiful fruits. Nothing screams the start of Fall more than apples, between the back to school schedules and the fresh ciders popping up everywhere.
I chose to use green apples for my table, well, because there’s nothing better than green to me. If you’ve read my blog for awhile and you know me well enough, you know green is a favorite of mine. I actual think green is a neutral rather than a color. That’s just me.

Another fruit I have used for a great Fall tablescape were pears, mixed with eucalyptus. This one was super fun to put together.
Of course I chose to use green pears. Lol. Seriously, I need to branch out.

I have some ideas for tables I want to create for this seasons and I promise they do not include any green fruit. The air quality is still horrendous from the wildfires so I will continue to work on projects inside the house and one of them includes an early fall tablescape. Stay tuned.
I have a couple of projects I want to do in the backyard but I cannot right now with the air quality. It’s so sad and my heart goes out to the folks in the path of destruction. Praying the fires are contained soon and the destruction is stopped.
