Easy Patriotic Home Decor Ideas

Memorial Day is quickly followed by Flag day in Mid-June. Then we have the big birthday celebration of our nation in the beginning of July, which is all wrapped up by Labor Day, signaling the end of summer. These easy decor ideas will take you through the summer months.

The easiest way to inject patriotic vibes into your home decor is to add flags throughout your spaces. Use them in vases or planters or draped anywhere really.

patriotic decor

Simply use one flag tucked in here or there. This is an easy peasy decor idea. Or use a collection of flags for a bigger impact. Either way it injects huge patriotic vibes to any space.

Flags are not only easy, but tend to be inexpensive. You can find them at the Dollar Tree or many towns provide them for free at parades or staked into front lawns during this time of year.

Bunting goes hand in hand with flag decor. I don’t know why, but bunting gives me all the vintage vibes. It looks great draped on mantels, doorways, fencing, and many other places and spaces.

patriotic decor

The Star Spangled Banner. Need I say more? Stars can remain neutral and yet scream America the Beautiful out loud. In both of these table designs the small addition of stars done the right way, say it all without saying it.

patriotic decor

America’s favorite past time right? Inject baseballs into your decor here and there and they say America, once again without saying it. Master M played for many years so there’s no lack of baseballs around here, but a single baseball can do the trick as well.

You can always let words do the talking (no pun intended). lol. I crack myself up. But seriously, sometimes the easiest way in decor to evoke a feeling is to simply state it. I created both of these projects, by stamping on thrifted books and stenciling on an old piece of wood. You don’t have to buy a specific sign, make your own.

Color alone can evoke a certain mood or feeling. And red, white and blue always gives the Americana feels. Like I stated before, I don’t own a ton of red, and blue is a close second, but a small detail like this felt garland is all you need sometimes.

Flowers is always an easy way to inject seasonal vibes to a space. By creating a red, white an blue bouquet, I instantly designed a seasonal decor accent. It’s so easy and so fresh.

Something as simple as a small piece of ribbon can go a long way. This ribbon was a remnant in my craft stash, and completed this table design perfectly with patriotic vibes.

Think outside the box. The red and blue pillow is a burlap sack that I bought rice in bulk. The bag actually came with a zipper and fit a pillow insert perfectly. Voila, instant seasonal decor and did not cost anything extra.

We are about a week away from Memorial Day weekend, and almost a month away from the official start of summer. I am ready for all the summer time activities and carefree days. Of course, this also means the Masterpiece kiddos will be home, which always makes me super happy.

I am looking forward to spending time around this table with all the ones I call mine. This means good food, great memories, and many gut laughs. It’s all about the Good Life.
