A Petite Christmas Tree Decked in Green Decor
Hello friends! Are you ready for Christmas? I don’t think I’m ever really ready, but we make it work. Today I just wanted to pop in really quick and share our Christmas tree in the family room. It’a a petite flocked tree, which is decorated this year with a green theme.

About the Petite Tree with Decked in Green Decor
The tree is a flocked, about 4 foot tree, which I bought years ago to decorate our porch for a Christmas soiree we were hosting. From there the petite tree has moved around from the front porch to the back patio to now in the family room. The first time we used it in the family room we loved how it brightened up the room, making it super festive. Since we spend so much time in the family room | kitchen space it seem like it wouldn’t be right without it here now.

Unlike our traditional family tree which is displayed in the living room, this tree gets a dress change every year. The theme this year is green inspired decor, whether it’s old and new, or rustic and refined, or homespun and store bought. Last year was a woodland theme, which is a different look than on the front porch. You can see it on the font porch in the goat cart in the picture below or for more details go here {Christmastime outside}.

The tree is great piece since it came with pre-strung lights and it includes a planter. It’s super versatile and fits in so many spaces.
Green Inspired Decor
Topper
The tree is topped with an oversized velvet ribbon. The ribbon is from last year’s Christmas mantel. I love using seasonal decor in different ways every year. Do you like to use decor the same way every year? Or do you mix things up from year to year? The ribbon is an olive velvet green on one side and a pretty gold on the flip side.

DIY
The DIY paper mache ornaments I shared over the summer for Christmas in July are debuting on the tree. The green color palette was inspired for this tree. That’s the wonderful thing about creating your own seasonal decor, allowing for a custom look.

Special Motifs
The piece de resistance is the Tavern on the Green ornament we picked up a couple of years ago on a big visit back east after the Covid SIP lifted. Collecting travel ornaments always beckons memories.

Other specially unique ornaments on the green themed tree are the holly bell and the champagne bottle glass ornaments. Holly and bubbly are two of my loves and here we are.

Loves Around Here
Additional loves include mushrooms, birds and pine cones which are sprinkled throughout the tree in different assorted styles.

Basic Fillers
Beyond the specialized pieces basic ornaments in different sizes fill in around the tree. I have a collection of different sized green glass ornaments since it’s my color of choice.

Closing Thoughts

I hope you enjoyed this flocked petite green themed Christmas tree. Wishing you a wonderful holiday season. I appreciate you and look forward to sharing more fun content in the new year.
