This year more so than in years past I am using natural elements in my Christmas decor . Natural greens, pine cones, and branches have been on repeat around here. I placed the flocked tree in my goat cart by the front door with a vintage sled.
The tree is adorned with nature inspired ornaments, including winter nests, antlers, and white owls.
And on the other side of the door I set up a snack station for all the delivery drivers that are helping out with our Santa duties. I have been doing this for a few years now since I was inspired by Susan from @betweennapsontheporch.
It is such a small gesture for these drivers that work so hard during the season. Truth be told they have been working hard all year long since on-line sales have increased in this crazy year. The front sitting area is all decked out for the season too; you can read more about this area in the front yard here{front yard sitting area}.
Unfortunately we don’t sit out here quite as much as in the warmer months but it’s a serene spot to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a warm beverage in the afternoon.
We were lucky to get some rain a few days ago, which you can tell by the wetish gravel, but the last few days have been sunny and warm for this time of year, so I am taking the opportunity to share our Christmas magic outside.
You find more greenery, pine cones and white poinsettias with a little bit of mercury glass bling. I absolutely love the combination. I bring all the poinsettias in at night because the overnight temperatures dip too low.
On the other side of the yard the church pew also has some Christmas touches.
A prelit wreath, a plaid pillow, a Christmas birdcage and a crate from the {baubles in a crate}post whisper Christmas.
I made the birdcage years ago with a miniature tree and glass bird ornaments. I have always liked birds and winter nests in my Christmas seasonal decor.
Remember the new urn I got for my birthday{birthday wishes}? It also got dressed for the season with greenery, pine cones, branches and one of my {garden orbs}.
Here’s a peek from inside the house, looking out.
I’ll share more details inside soon. Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone is enjoying this magical time of year.
