About the Easter Holiday
Easter is ingrained in Christian history symbolized by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Easter is also culturally associated with the Easter bunny and Easter eggs, which is thought to represent new life and rebirth. This aligns with the religious symbols of resurrection and renewal. Easter is a movable feast, which is observed the first Sunday following the full Moon that occurs on or after the March or spring equinox.

These unique craft ideas include some religious pieces and plenty of charming bunny, eggs and more projects. Come on in and let’s get crafty!

Religious Projects
There’s not a more iconic religious symbol for Easter than the cross. I have another cross project scheduled in a few weeks. Stay tuned.
{ONE} Moss Cross
Moss is a great element for Spring decor. This moss cross has all the symbolism of rebirth and renewal with a fresh feel.
{TWO} Beaded Garland Cross
This beaded cross garland is actually a piece which can be used all year long, not only for the Easter holiday.
Bunny Projects
Easter wouldn’t be Easter without the Easter bunny. There’s a variety of projects here from artwork, to a garland and how to transform basic ceramic bunnies.
{THREE} Bunny Garland
This might be the easiest project out of the whole bunch, but it doesn’t mean it’s lacking in interest and appeal. It’s a charming and simple piece.
{FOUR} Faux Chocolate Bunny
This chocolate bunny hack creates the most adorable and realistic chocolate bunnies, which won’t melt or create a mess. They are perfectly charming year after year.
{FIVE} Bunny DIY Painting
This bunny painting hack is a favorite technique around here. This bunny painting is perfect for Easter, but once again could be used throughout the year with other decor.
{SIX} Sheet Music Bunny Silhouette Frame
If you’ve been here longer than a hot minute, then you know sheet music and silhouettes are two favorites of mine. Combining them for this simple frame artwork is perfectly charming for Easter.

Easter Egg Projects
{SEVEN} Floral Eggs
There are many ways to DIY Easter eggs. These floral eggs are my latest Easter egg DIY and the most unique. You can adapt them with any flower types and color options.
{EIGHT} Decoupage Eggs
Decoupaging Easter eggs is an easy way to add amazing designs. I used paper napkins for the eggs below, and I’ve also used thrifted vintage sheet music. There are many paper options which can be used, including tissue paper, wrapping paper, scrapbook paper and more.
{NINE} Glitter Eggs
German glass glitter makes everything magical. These glitter eggs were a Pottery Barn dupe from a few years ago. German glass glitter patinas and ages over time creating a beautiful vintage finish.
{TEN} Moss Eggs
Moss makes everything better. Moss eggs are easy to make and once again add the fresh spring and renewal feels.

{ELEVEN} Colorful Painted Eggs
A paint brush is a magic wand which can transform so many things. Paint can coordinate eggs to your decor or seasonal theme. These eggs pictured below were from my booth at a local pop-up vintage co-op and they sold out. Sorry for the blurry photo this was a loooong time ago.

{TWELVE} Chalkboard Painted Eggs
Chalkboard paint is another fabulous medium. By coating Easter eggs in chalkboard paint allows for any design or words to be scripted on the eggs.

Olio Projects
{THIRTEEN} Egg Tree
An Easter egg tree is such a fun table decoration. Real or faux branches create a great effect. Branches can be foraged in yards or parks. Just keep your eye out and you’ll find some great wood branches.
{FOURTEEN} Carrot Wreath Frame
These grapevine carrots have all the organic feels, which I absolutely love. A vintage frame is the perfect and easy stage to create a frame wreath which can be displayed indoor or outdoors.
