I want to share a really easy project I put together to use in this Easter vignette.
Although my intention had been to create this for my Christmas decor it works even better now for an Easter vignette. Truth be told I will use this year round since I love to decorate with religious pieces.
I used a wood bead garland from Fall decor and a decorative cross. I found both at Hobby Lobby last year reduced by 40%.
I don’t know if it has to do with my Catholic upbringing or the fact that my mother decorated with many religious artifacts in my home growing up but I really like some subtle religious touches now.
Most of my Mother’s pieces were antique relics and I’m sure cost a pretty penny. The ironic part is I hated it as a child and thought it was weird. LOL.
Now I totally appreciate it. Anyway, I’m not spending a fortune here and every time I saw one of these decorative beads they were a bit pricey so when I saw the garland in HL, a light bulb went off.
I call them oversized rosary beads but I guess nobody else does because when I googled under that name, the search results weren’t exactly what I was looking for. 😂
“Wooden garland” however does provide what I’m looking for and now there’s all types of garlands|rosaries at all different price ranges.
This is my rendition. It was super easy to assemble; I don’t know what took so long for me to actually do it. It cost less than $10 and took less than 10 minutes to put together.
I have finally injected some Easter into my Spring decor. I will share more Easter decor and tablescapes real soon.
Wishing peace to all on this Palm Sunday.
“Our Lord has written the promise of resurrection, not in books alone but in every leaf of springtime.”
How pretty, love the cross and beaded garland! Thanks so much for linking up with me at A Themed Linkup 48 for Crafts and DIY. Pinned!
