Are you ready to decorate for the Fall season? Pumpkins are the bell of the ball for Autumnal feels. This post shares 10 unique ways to DIY your own pumpkins, which can be adapted to your own style and aesthetic, elevating your fall decor easily and economically.
Many times I prefer to create my own seasonal decor since it’s more economical and adaptable to personalization. Plus I simply enjoy crafting. My mother instilled in me a love for crafting at a young age, and I have always crafted something or the other throughout my life. More than enjoying the craft process, I love, love to share craftiness with others who enjoy it too. I hope you find some inspiration for your own home in the following projects.

Inspiration for Unique Ways to DIY Pumpkins which Elevate Fall Decor
Seasonal decor can become spendy if you change it out for every season and holiday during the year. With that, I prefer to create much of my own seasonal decor. Not only is it incredibly affordable, but you can also adapt it to your own personal style. A good Dollar Tree hack or thrifted find turned into a trend forward decor piece is a favorite around here.

Paint is Like a Magic Wand for Unique Finishes
Color Paint
Paint is a magic craft wand that transforms so many things. I chose white paint for my up-cycled pumpkins, but you can use any color that matches your style and home aesthetic.
Metallic Paint
Metallic paints bring a bit of glam and luxe to Autumnal pumpkin stylings. Spray painting some dollar tree pumpkins is a simple solution, which is pretty easy and inexpensive.
Chalkboard Paint
Chalkboard paint is such a great medium to use on a plethora of surfaces allowing for endless personalization with writings, drawings, doodles and more. These flat wooden pumpkins with a few coats of chalkboard paint make great napkin holders, place cards, bottle labels, and an endless array of decor accents.
A Dollar Tree styrofoam pumpkin was totally transformed with chalkboard paint and a porcelain knob. An “M” monogram dresses it up to sit on the gossip table in front of the monogram gallery wall in our entryway. IYKYK
Decoupaging for Unique and Endless Patterns
Paper Napkins
A toile patterned decoupaged pumpkin sign DIY adds a bit of refinement and elegance to the otherwise rustic vibes of fall decor. Green toile paper napkins are used for this particular project, but you can use any napkins with a desired pattern or even decorative tissue paper, light wrapping paper or craft patterned papers. Make it yours.
Book Print Pages
A super easy and economical choice for a decoupage medium is to use pages from an old book. You can also pick up a book at the Dollar Tree. I love the vintage and nostalgic feel book page projects always evoke.
Run for Cover with Unique Looks
Vintage Dollies for Boho Vibes
In this easy boho pumpkin DIY all you need is a dollar tree foam pumpkin and thrifted lace doilies. By using thrifted vintage doilies on a pumpkin it gives fall decor an unexpected touch of boho vibes.
Beanie Beauty For a Sherpa Effect
Do you love all the sherpa pumpkins that have popped up all over the place in the last couple of years? Well, you can make one yourself with just a few supplies. A little beanie hat wraps around a pumpkin form for a super easy sherpa pumpkin look.
Glitter For Luxe Looks {Pottery Barn knock-off}
If you have been around here longer than a hot minute then you know I love to create seasonal decor using German glass glitter. These glitter pumpkins were inspired by Pottery Barn, but once again you can use any color glitter you desire.
Moss for Rustic Feels
Another medium I love to use for decor projects is moss. These moss pumpkins give me all the organic feels I absolutely love. Collected wood branch stumps are the perfect stems to round out the organic feels.
