Pearly White Heart Wreath
This is the project I most recently shared. A simple heart wire form from the Dollar Tree is dressed up with some loopy yarn and pearls to give Shabby Chic feels. This come together in less than an hour and is easy to customize with different color yarn and ribbon.
Moss Heart Wreath
This might be my oldest project but it’s probably my favorite and it’s still going strong after many years. Assorted mosses and dried roses give this piece a rustic and organic vibe. Everything is layered easily on a heart grapevine form.
Vintage Frame Wreath
This is a super easy project idea, which simply involves layering items. I used a vintage frame with fresh eucalyptus and a plush heart. You can use whatever speaks to you and coordinates with your aesthetic. A rustic frame with dried florals and a primitive heart would look great in a country home, while a new frame with faux florals and a simple heart would be right at home in a modern house. Easy peasy and once the holiday passes simply disassemble and no need to store anything until next year.
Heart Topiary Ideas
Moss Heart Topiary
You know all those seasonal plant trellises you buy on an impulse because they are super cute or receive as an incredibly thoughtful hostess gifts? Well, invariably the plant dies (that’s my experience anyway) and you’re left with an empty and sad wire form. Don’t throw it out! Follow this tutorial and you’ll have a seasonal piece to use year after year.
Dried Floral Heart Topiary
This is the same concept as above put since this is a pretty organic grapevine heart form, I didn’t want to fully cover it. Instead I used dried baby’s breath to accent the heart with a sweet, soft touch. I chose baby’s breath since I had it on hand but feel free to use whatever you have or prefer to use. Pink bunny tails would be super sweet for this project.
Heart Topiary Place Card
This grapevine heart place card topiary was spring boarded from the previous projects. An individual DIY heart topiary will make every guest feel special with a personalized place card. They were easy to assemble and once again you can break them apart when done so nothing seasonal to store. Even better you can gift these to guests as a little party favor.
Accent Decor Hearts
Faux Tin Tile Heart
Working with the faux tin tiles from the Dollar Tree is a favorite around here for many projects and it’s perfect for this vintage inspired heart craft. I gave this tile heart a rustic vintage vibe, but you can adapt it to your own style and home decor aesthetic. That’s the beauty of DIY decor.
Purple Heart Ornaments
These Purple Heart floral ornaments are super easy to put together with cardboard and free images you can print right at home. I wanted to inject purple, lavender and lilac into my Valentine’s decor but you can print images with any color or motif you desire to customize these heart ornaments to your own Valentine’s Day decor.
Moss Heart Garland
Heart shapes are cut out of chipboard and covered with peel and stick moss. The hearts are strung on a piece of jute and voila! You have an instant Valentine’s Day garland. You can use cookie cutters to draw heart shapes or print a template on the computer. Use different sized hearts to create interest and movement.

Vintage Sheet Music Decoupaged Hearts
Paper mache hearts decoupaged with vintage sheet music creates all the romantic and shabby chic emotions. Lace ribbons tied around the hearts completes the feels. I don’t have an exact tutorial for this project, but you can learn decoupage techniques in this post {how to decoupage Easter eggs}.

Valentine’s Day Decor Accents
Cupid’s Arrows & Quiver
Remember the faux tin tiles I spoke about earlier? Well, I used scraps here to make the perfect arrow points to create Cupid’s arrows. Real feathers attached on the other end add to the whole effect. This is a super whimsical and unique decor accent, which makes me smile every time.
Stained Vintage Glass Candle Sticks
Glassware pieces are always easily accessible for only a few dollars each at thrifts or garage sales. With a little bit of decoupage medium and food coloring you can give these basic glass pieces a glow up into fun and festive Valentine’s Day decor. The best part? You can removed the stain easily and use different colors for another holiday or event.

Moss Hugs & Kisses
Moss is another one of those great muses for so many projects. This is a super old project and I don’t even remember where I picked up the XOXO wood form, but I have included an option in the shopping section below for your convenience. The loose moss made this a messy project, but the peel & stick would be perfect for this.

Chalkboard Wooden Slabs
Wooden craft slabs can be easily customized for an occasion with a few layers of chalkboard paint. I’ve used chalkboard paint for too many projects to remember. It’s great to create personal messages or artwork. And although I’ve used them for sweet Valentine’s Day, they can be used anytime for anything.

Framed Artwork
This is another super easy way to decorate for any holiday or occasion. Frames can be found for cheap in many places like thrift shops, garage sales and state liquidations with an assortment that can be embellished and adapted to the certain celebration.

I always love to see the different craft ideas you come up with and try one or two for my own home, MaryJo. The topiary hearts are a really nice touch for Valentine’s Day and something I would love to see on my own table. Thanks for sharing.
