All the Fall feels with Fallen Leaves
Foraging for fresh leaves outside is an easy and economical way to collect decor. If you’re not an outdoor person or have allergy and health concerns which might prohibit this activity, you can find preserved or faux leaves easily in craft and decor stores as well as on-line. I included a shopping section at the bottom of the post for your convenience. You can always create your own leaves from paper, fabric and more.

Fall Leaf Filler
An easy way to inject seasonal decor to any space is to fill a vessel with an accent that corresponds with the time of year. A bowl filled with leaves and fall accents immediately sets the tone. You can include leaves in so many type of containers.

Tiered Tray
A tiered tray with leaves, pines cones and mini pumpkins give all the fall fells with an easy arrangement. It’s fresh, it’s simple and it provides instant seasonal emotions.

Dough Bowl
A wooden dough bowl is a great rustic piece to decorate around your home. With a foraged branch, more loose leaves and pine cones this makes for a fabulous, nature inspired fall centerpiece.
Urn
If you’ve been here longer than a hot minute, you are aware of my love for urns. This thrifted silver urn is stacked high with leaves foraged with Miss Masterpiece. All the texture from the fresh leaves and the different colors provide enough interest.
Basket
Baskets come in all shapes and sizes, making them a perfect vessel to use in home decor. Don’t limit yourself for the intended use of the basket either. This is a vintage French baguette basket which is dressed up with leaves and nuts. Also incredibly simple, but offers so much fall loveliness.

Vase
Dried branches provide tons of texture. Two different types of eucalyptus in a farmhouse pitcher makes an organic statement. Faux branches with traditional autumnal leaves can provide amazing color as well.
Tray
I use trays all around our house to corral vignettes. Here is a fabulous find years ago, which was another thrifted piece (notice a theme here). The tray is lined with dried eucalyptus branches, faux felt leaves and more foraged oak leaves. They all play nice together. Mix and match leaves for depth and added texture.
On a side note, have you noticed how many of my decor pieces are thrifted? Thrift shopping is a fantastic way to decorate your home in a unique and less expensive manner than mass produced pieces. Come by next week for the next installment of Thrifted Goodies.
Leaf Decor
Wreath
Metallic elements always provide a bit of glam. The mix of rustic luxe in this DIY wreath is everything. Metallic paint easily transforms Dollar Tree leaves into an Autumnal masterpiece.
Candle Ring
This burlap leaf craft plays double duty. It can be used as a wreath or also as a candle ring. The burlap leaves can also be found at the Dollar Tree or I included a source in the shopping section for your convenience.
Plate Chargers
Table stylings can also have some fall loveliness with this fall leaf charger DIY. Faux leaves layered around the edge of an inexpensive plate charger immediately elevate the whole plate stack. This is an easy craft with minimal supplies and totally inexpensive.
Artwork
By simply attaching a fallen leaf to some sheet music you immediately create a homemade piece of art, which can be layered with your seasonal decor. I hung the sheet music on clipboards, but you can attach it to a canvas, thrifted frame or even a plain board.

Paper Leaf Crafts
Paper crafts have limitless possibilities. I prefer to use sheet music and book pages for many of my projects, which provides a very neutral aesthetic. If you prefer more color or design I recommend using scrapbook pages, wrapping paper or any paper that speaks to your style. The mechanics of the projects remain the same, but the look will represent your style. As I always say, make it yours.

Bookprint Leaf Garland
I created this book page leaf garland a few years ago and I have brought it out every year since. It looks great draped on mirrors, doorways, mantels and more.
Sheet Music Leaf Garland
Maple leaf cut outs from vintage sheet music creates this simple swag. The letters can create any sentiment preferred, allowing for customization. I simply ran the sheet music leaves through the printer to print the desired letters.

Paper Leaf Place Cards
These oak leaf cut outs are store bought, but you could also print them and cut them out on your own. I ran them through a printer at home to add all the personal names.
It’s All in the Details – Scatter Leaves Around as Seasonal Accents
Scattered leaves provide a homespun fall confetti. They can be real or faux, fabric or paper. Use what you have or what you like or what you find and sprinkle them all around.
Copper leaves scattered on a fall table styling are a small detail with a big impact.

Edible fall leafs makes for a festive cake.

Leaves tucked between pumpkins add an extra touch of seasonal goodness.

Closing Thoughts
I hope this inspires you to use some leaf decor in your home this season. If you already use leaf decor, I hope you gleamed a little detail you can maybe add to your own decor stylings at home. Either way, I am happy you’re here. I always enjoy sharing and having you over. Counting down the days to fall (leaves). lol.
