Inspiration for a Witchy Decor Entryway
Witches are iconic Halloween decor motifs, and the inspiration for this decor entryway styling. We are going to embrace as much of a witch persona here as we can from attire to accessories to friends. Let’s get our witches on!

Details of a Witchy Setting
This witch entry way styling covers our entire foyer, but you can create the same look and feel simply in a small area or an entire bigger room if you desire. The key is to have fun, embrace your inner child and get in the spooky zone. You do you.

Cloaks, Hats & Boots
A hall tree is bursting at the seams with witches’ hats and cloaks. At the foot of the coat rack sit some witchy shoes, which are tossed as the witches kick their feet up to preform ritualistic dances casting spells. Let the imagination run wild. It is Halloween after all.

Brooms, Brooms & More Brooms
A witches number one form of transportation is the iconic witch broom. Brooms are scattered and propped up about the place as witches swoop in and out. There’s a witches parking sign I created years ago that clearly designates the area for witches only.

I created a new printable if you want to make a witches parking sign too. Simply download the image below and you can use it as you wish to create your own witch themed display.

Witchcraft
No self respecting witch or wizard would be without their witchcraft sorcery. A witchy display contains key elements to evoke all the witchcraft sensations for the Halloween season. Potion bottles and spell books set the stage for all the magical Hocus Pocus.

Witchy Critters
Witches have unsavory friends, which pop up here and there. Bats fly in the background while a black cat slinks on top of the rack and rats scurry underfoot. Everybody needs friends, right? Snakes, bugs, black birds are also good options to integrate into a spooky inspired setting.

Witch Wonders
Including accents which incorporate a witchy atmosphere add more layers to the seasonal display. A witches cauldron with bones adds a bit of creepy. A spooky candle sconce adds magical ambience. A cute toad is a great critter addition for the witch parking sign with a touch of whimsy. Mix it up and make it wonderfully, mythically amazing.

Tips & Recommendations to Keep In Mind
Shop Your Home First
Use any black or dark shawls to create the witchy cloak look. Large black scarves work as well. Also look at you black boots and shoes , etc. to add to the witchy look. Look through your Halloween decorations and grab anything that looks and feels witchy.

Ground the Theme
The theme here is a witches’ world. Anything pertaining to witches is fair game. By creating layers and expressions of a witches’ life you tell a story. Decorating in a way is story telling. All the different elements draw you in and creates attraction.

DIY Decorations
Homemade projects add personalization and provide your signature style to a display. Besides creating a customized look, homespun pieces tend to be more economical. Creating seasonal decor is a favorite around here.
