Last night was the daddy daughter dance at our elementary school and the theme was the 70s. We went for a groovy early 70s look with Lexi. Thank goodness I found this little funky vest downtown ‘cuz it made the outfit. Lexi loved the fringe and was terribly excited. Daddy on the other hand went for a more 70s disco look & like the true gent he is he got Lexi a corsage for their big night out on the Montair dance floor.
Our friends went for a more late 70s look with the halter jumpsuit & dress very a la Charlie’s Angels and the girls were all so adorable.

I’m so glad Matt & Lexi were able to attend the daddy/daughter dance since it’s usually in February when we’re in St. Thomas and the mother/son dance is in March. This year for whatever reason it was switched around so Sebastian & I missed the mother/son dance while in St. Thomas. Since I’ve escorted Sebastian to the dance three years in a row I’m happy to give Lexi & Matt the opportunity.
This also gave me some one on one time with Sebastian. Unfortunately instead of hanging out & enjoying each other’s company we had to finalize Sebastian mojave indians report & presentation. And I use the word “we” loosely ‘cuz he really did all the work. I’m so proud of him. He’s been working on the project all week from his 4 page rough draft, to his illustration, to his 2 page typed final copy to his presentation index cards. I had him practice his oral presentation this morning one last time before school and he rocked it. I’m thinking of him this morning w/ my fingers crossed that he does the job to make him feel good about himself all day. He makes me very proud with his work discipline. Sometimes I feel bad that I’m so hard on him about his work ‘cuz he really grasps things quickly and works independently. Sending good {{{vibes}}} your way Sebi!
