She sits on my mother’s secretary desk just where I wanted her.
She’s all dressed up with a seasonal tongue twister that compliments the surrounding decor.
The kids love trying to say it & it’s actually not easy even when you’re reading it.
I’m excited to dress her up throughout the seasons.
I have more seashells around the living room.
I have my large conch and a small glass bowl with smaller shells on the coffee table.
I actually have a few glass bowls and jars filled.
Plus I have starfish in my wooden dough bowl.
And some coral in silver plate pieces.
My mantle actually features all my coral.
The majority of my sea life pieces are from the time we lived in the Bahamas when I was 5 or 6 years old. They were all harvested by my family when regulations were much more lenient than they are today. The ocean was our back yard so we were in it almost every day.
Now to add some patriotic touches for the upcoming 4th of July holiday…
Well I’m pleased as punch that you hopped back on! I love the Hydrangeas in the bottles. I have some of the cone shaped Limelight ones, but not blooming yet. Love the tongue twister! When I was a teen I was quite good at saying them and use to do it all the time. My favorite was Peter Piper Picked a Peck of Pickled Peppers! lol. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
