I know Halloween seems like ages ago but I’ve been relishing in the simple fall decor around here. Once we got back from Disneyland I happily put all the Halloween decorations away and it’s been nice and fall-y around here. I won’t start Christmas until I’ve checked Thanksgiving off the list. Here are some of the little pieces of fall decor around our home:
foyer~
I recently started collecting brown transferware and my collection is growing quickly. I hope to some day have enough to set a mix matched table. and I love finials and glass cloches.
dining room~
Nice & simple. it’s very calming to me rather than too cluttered which I happen to do too often ‘cuz I love all my stuff.
front porch~
I wanted the metal basket with dried hydrangeas from our yard on the front door but every time we opened the door it banged and rubbed and clanked and it was driving all of us crazy so I just hung it on the side. good compromise- still welcomes all our guests but doesn’t bother anyone.
living room~
I love all the velvet pumpkins out there, I just don’t like the price tag associated w/ them… except I couldn’t resist this little guy. See the little brownish/red pumpkin with the super loooong awesome stem on my coffee table? I couldn’t not resist him like I said. that stem has SO much personality & since it was a wee little guy he was only $8 & I opened up my wallet. You know I have to love it since it has a redish cast & I still brought him home. Brown I decorate with, red not so much.
I’m working on some holidays projects now and getting ready for thanksgiving at home this year.
Such pretty decor! Can you come over and do my house now? Lol. Have a great Thanksgiving, MJ!
