Nine Ideas, Themes, Motifs for Pretty Winter Table Settings

Epiphany Celebration
Our Christmas celebrations end with the epiphany, which is also known as Three Kings Day or Magi Day or los Reyes Magos. The day is the celebration of when the three wise men reached the Christ child’s birth and worshipped him on January 6th. This table honors this special day with crown motifs as symbols of the three kings.
Winter Blues
A great way to extend the use of Christmas baubles is to have them preform double duty. Christmas ornaments are great accents and this blue themed table is perfect for a fun and jovial table setting. This table styling is a great play on words and gives the term winter blues a fun and festive vibe.
Winter Forest
Keeping in stretching Christmas decor for uses during the winter months, a forest theme with Christmas tree decor is an easy extension. A bottle brush collection and tree accent plates from the Dollar Tree sets the tone for this table setting. Other tree decor can also create the same feels, whether faux greenery trees, or glass trees or DIYed trees. Use what you have to keep it easy and economical.
Winter Nesting
The rustic farmhouse Christmas picks at each place setting propelled this table design and set the tone. This keeps in the vein of using Christmas baubles for winter themed tables. Unlike the ornaments and trees above though, these picks were bought with table settings in mind. If you use floral picks for your Christmas tree, then this is a great way to use them in a new way.
Winter Snow
Snow and snowflakes are iconic motifs for the winter months. A snowy table design is always a fun theme for the long winter months. German glass glitter snowflake DIY ornaments and faux snow balls set the tone for this table, which are complimented with whites and ivories and grays and silver pieces.
Pine Cones
Pine cones are a fabulous muse for so many uses and projects. Decorating with pine cones is easy, fresh and economical. You can use them in mass or a single cone can make a statement on its own.
Winter Greens
Keeping with the organics theme, you can never go wrong with greenery or florals. This adds a pop of freshness to dark days, and florals always make table stylings smile. You can easily use whatever you like or is in season or matches any theme you want to create.
Enchanted Winter Mushrooms
Mushrooms is another organic inspired theme. Although all these mushrooms are faux in this table styling it still exudes the nature feels. Winters are full of rain in our area, which brings out the mushrooms in our yard, making mushrooms a winter thing around here. You could use anything that speaks to you this time of year.
Casual Farmhouse
This particular table is not winter specific, but it uses many of my usual suspects, showing that a pretty table does not need to be a complicated task. Use what comes naturally easy for you, mixing casual pieces with a few surprising pieces to create a wow effect. This works not only for long winter months, but any time of year.

I hope everyone had a happy and safe New Year’s celebration. We stayed home with the family. Mr. M prepared a Beef Wellington and I assisted with twice baked potatoes and the Materazo side salad. Champagne toast at midnight capped the evening perfectly as we rang in the new year. Looking forward to sharing win the new year,
