I don’t know when it started, or how it started, or why it started for that matter, but over the years i’ve somehow accumulated a collection of mushrooms, fungi, and|or toadstools.
My eye is always drawn to botanical type mushrooms and I mentioned my fascination long ago to a friend and alas it’s her gift of choice for me. LOL.
Although most of the collection is enabled by my friend the first ones I bought are these garden stakes.
I got them at target a gazillion years ago and usually reside in my succulent planter on the patio. {I just brought them all together here to showcase the collection I have inadvertently amassed.}
This little assembled cloche I created a long time ago when I had booth space in a couple of shoppes and I usually crafted some accessory for vignettes.
Most of the cloches included birds and nests under glass but this one spoke to me so I kept it instead of selling it and it now lives in the guest room.
The rest of them really don’t have a home so I’m in the process of creating a vignette and thinking of ways to incorporate them somehow into my holiday decorations. Stay tuned.
But before I even owned any of these, my fascination already existed. Here are a couple of memory pages I journaled about the wild mushrooms growing at our new home when we bought this house.
seems to have some symbolism for me; i guess.
