Bubbles and festive beverages always flow during New Year’s celebrations. This is the time to indulge in bubbles, or a cocktail of choice or festive mock-tails. Having a dedicated bar set-up or beverage station creates a practical solution which elevates any party.

A dedicated space for guests to prepare their drink of choice creates a festive situation, which helps both the hosts and guests. Of course depending on size and type of event, a hired bartender is always an extra added touch.

A classic champagne cocktail is a timeless celebratory favorite elixir. The classic champagne cocktail never disappoints and it adds the perfect edginess to bubbles for a new year’s celebration. The classic champagne cocktail consists of bubbles (champagne or sparkling wine) with a sugar cube, bitters and brandy.

A super fun way to dress-up champagne is with candy accents. It adds whimsy and festive vibes to bubbles with different flavors, colors and textures. Use cotton candy or rock candy or your favorite candy of choice. This is a fun way to include the younger crowd with soda or sparkling cider.

Beyond bubbly there are many festive cocktails which can be served before the strike of midnight. My favorite cocktail is the French 75, which elevates any social outing. It’s a classic, which has been around for a century and still going strong. It’s an elegant drink, which combines gin, champagne, lemon juice and sugar.

You can add a twist to the classic French 75 for added festivity. Pomegranate is a favorite around here, but use any flavors that strike your fancy. The classic French 75 can be infused with pineapple adding a tropical twist or lavender adds a touch of fresh herbaceousness. Use flavors which complement your theme and event.

Although the name might seem controversial, the drink itself is innocently divine with passion fruit as the star of the show. The “porn star” name was coined to evoke “a stylish and confident drink…[that’s]…pure indulgence, sexy, fun and evocative”, which is perfect for over the top fun vibes. The Pornstar Martini  is a passion fruit flavored cocktail made with vanilla vodka.

Caviar is one of those luxury culinary delights. There’s no better time to indulge than on New Year’s Eve, pairing perfectly with champagne or ice cold vodka. Although it might sound intimidating, preparing a caviar serving station is fairly simple with some key details.

Charcuterie boards have been all the rage for awhile now and are a great hosting super weapon. Why not take it a step further and create a wreath shaped charcuterie board to amp up the festive vibes with an extra special touch. It’s easier to make than it looks, and it can be adapted to many tastes and culinary preferences.

Deviled eggs are always a fan favorite, which are amazingly creamy and rich on their own, but by adding some great toppings you just make it that much better and fun. Some great deviled egg garnishments include chives, bacon bits, capers, sea salt and more. Once again, this can be adapted to the party theme or culinary preferences.

This is one of the easiest and fastest appetizer ideas you want to stick in your entertaining back pocket. The recipe consists of only 3 ingredients and takes about 10 minutes to prepare. Just because they are easy and fast doesn’t make them lesser than, on the contrary. These tasty bites are quite decadent and addictive. You’ve been warned.

This silky stuffed cherry peppers recipe is a fantastic entertaining dish that will wow your guests, but yet it’s easy to put together. The silkiness of the Boursin herbed infused cheese is a great contrast to the tang of the cherry peppers. It’s a festive appetizer, which pleases the eye first before indulging our taste buds.

This quail egg stuffed mushroom recipe is sure to impress your family and guests, but the best part is that it’s fairly simple. Quail eggs are eaten and considered a delicacy in many parts of the world, but interesting enough the flavor profile tastes very much like regular, everyday chicken eggs. The diminutive size makes them attractive, opening them up to creative culinary endeavors.

Tea sandwiches are not only for high tea, but make a great appetizer for a mixer, cocktail party or holiday soiree, making them perfect for a New Year’s celebration. The variety of tea sandwiches is really limitless. To me the quintessential tea sandwich is the cucumber sandwich, but there are a plethora of selections and iterations.

Honey and cheese is a wonderful combination and this honeycomb cheesy cracker appetizer idea elevates it to a new level. Homemade cheese crackers are super easy to make and are slathered with honey. Using a honeycomb elevates the experience and makes this dish extra special, which is perfect for ringing in the new year.

Clocks, clock faces and time pieces are great muses for a New Year’s celebration as the hands of time move towards the strike of midnight. Everyone counts down together until midnight when bells ring and horns blow and fire works fly all around, depending on where you are.

As we say good-bye to the current year, we always look forward with high hopes and great anticipation of a bright and beautiful new year. Lights and shiny effects are perfect ambience setters for a New Year’s fete. Optimism for a brilliant year ahead calls for festive lighting and bright touches to guide us into the new year.

A New Year’s setting doesn’t have to be complicated. Use the same basic table design from Christmas and transform it into a swanky New Year’s Eve soiree. Use motifs which speak to a New Year’s celebration, like champagne, stars, horns, sparkling lights and more.

Thrift stores are a great resource for scoring unique and budget friendly decor and party accessories. Look for festive pieces, cozy touches and glitzy serving and entertaining ware. Thrifts are full of vintage glassware, amazing dishes, great candle holders and more, which sets a New year’s setting full of character and charm. Thrifty finds create a signature style for any home, which can’t be replicated.

There’s a reason fireworks and Champagne are often associated with this holiday, as it’s the perfect excuse to gather with family and friends and indulge.
