here i go again…..

…falling off the face of my blog.  I hate that!  AND I hate using the word “hate” so it tells you how much it bothers me.  I really want to be a better blogger and I’ll try to quickly recap.
So this past weekend we visited Santa.

The place opened at 11am & by 11:05am we were driving away.  We were early ‘cuz I thought they opened at 10am AND this Santa actually started a bit early.  Last year we stumbled upon this Santa at the Shops at Blackhawk and we love the low maintenance, no lines atmosphere.  It’s how it should be.  Never going back to the mall & my kids will be coming here until they refuse or are too cool or too busy.  We started the morning at the passport office to renew Sebi’s passport at 9am hence why we were early to meet Santa.  After a quick breakfast, the Santa visit and some errands to finish our Christmas decorations, we were home by lunch time fully accomplished!
I also finished all our Christmas cards on Saturday, which were last year’s cards that I never mailed ‘cuz we moved in mid December.  Then I wanted to mail in early 2008 as an announcement that we moved.  Well that didn’t happen either.  These Christmas cards and Sebastian’s passport have been on my “to do list” literally ALL year.  I feel so good they are behind me.  crossed off the list.  I actually feel lighter.
Now I can concentrate on our annual Christmas party, Christams itself and a visit from my in-laws.  Last we spoke we were actually on our way to visit them in South Carolina.  Quick recap:  we had a fantastic time.  We met some of their friends so now we can put a face to the names when they relate their stories.  We had a nice family only Thanksgiving that was low key & super yummy.  Sebastian fished for the first time and loved it.  And we did enjoy some adult only entertainment as we visited a very nice restaurant in Savannah.

Sebastian the fisherman.  Too cold to catch anything but great, new experience.

I love a festive table!  Something to be very thankful for.

This was our first visit (w/ the exception of Matt who had been here before) to this house.  It’s lovely & can’t wait to visit again!
