The spooky season is upon us so I set the table accordingly.
I used lots of birds, skulls and pumpkins.
The color scheme is pretty monochromatic, which I tend to lean towards automatically.
I draped some of my regular chargers with creepy cloth I picked up at the dollar store. One cloth can cover 8 chargers, which is a pretty good value.
I picked up the ravens at each place setting at the Dollar Tree as well.
I actually had the whole table set without the centerpiece since I didn’t use any of my halloween stash for the place settings.
…then I brought down all the halloween bins from the attic and started opening them and whatever struck my fancy for the table I placed in the middle.
I placed something and added something else and moved something over, etc.
…until you get the right composition; you all know the drill.
I didn’t have anything planned for for the centerpiece so I am glad how it all came together.
What I did have planned was black taper candles and of course I waited until the last minute and there were none to be found so I ended up improvising with white candles.
A girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do {the show must go on} so I wrapped some book print around each taper and tied it with pieces of the creepy cloth. done!
Looks like we have an early dinner guest and he looks pretty hungry {wink}.
Bone Appetite!
