These faded blooms brought me back to my wedding day.
My husband bought me these roses from the farmer’s market a couple of weeks ago.
So let me share that roses aren’t my favorite blooms. When I do choose roses I gravitate to the whites|creams and yellows.
But these roses made me smile because they reminded me of my wedding bouquet.
And as they faded and dried I liked them even more and they really made me smile as I reminisced.
So when most of the memory lane roses dried they were too pretty and pertinent to just toss in the green recycle bin.
So, what’s a girl to do? Create a mini vignette, of course.
As I’m taking these pictures and Mr. Masterpiece is watching me, I asked him what they remind him of and without hesitation he says my wedding bouquet.
And that’s one of the many reasons I love this man.
Next year we will celebrate 20 years of marriage; just like these roses we have faded & wilted some but at the same time become something stronger & bolder together.
Then I remembered I still had my dried rose hairpiece from our wedding & the ribbon from my nosegay bouquet so I added it to the vignette.
