easter decorations

Last week while running some errands I noticed that easter merchandise is already marked down.
How is this possible?  I haven’t even started decorating for easter.
Not that I mind that if I do desire to add any new easter decor this year it will be at a discount, but the point is that it stressed me out because I immediately felt behind the 8ball.
When I finally reviewed the calendar, I felt better since about a month of easter decorations around the house is about my limit.
So today Master M helped me get the easter bin out of the attic.
I haven’t necessarily started decorating yet, but I took everything out so I can remember what there is and start formulating a plan of attack.
We have about 1 bin of easter decor and to some this might seem like a lot And for others it might seem like nothing.
For us it’s about the perfect amount.
I made the sheet music frame with the bunny silhouette a few years ago.  It combines two things I love; sheet music & silhouettes.
What isn’t there to love?
The happy easter bunny sign is from Homegoods a few years ago.
The egg & grapevine wreath I’ve had for years and can’t really remember where I picked it up.
The large Mr. & Mrs. bunny I actually picked up at a local grocery store years ago for a great price.
The big vintage artwork cardboard eggs in the middle are from Tuesday Morning and I use them full of candy every year in the kids easter baskets.
I also picked up the faux moss little bunny on that same shopping trip @ Tuesday Morning.
The sheet music eggs I made a few years ago & you can read the DIY tutorial here.
I’m hoping to make some moss & | or glitter eggs this year.  I’ll share when I do.  Stay tuned.
The natural colored eggs are from Michaels.
I loved all the shades so much I bought a few bags.
I don’t know if they still carry them since I haven’t noticed them again.
One of my favorite bunny decorations is this vintage chocolate mold I picked up from a fellow consignor when I was still working in the shoppes.
It is one if the many reasons I miss my consigning days.
I usually use the mold in the kitchen, we’ll see where it lands this year.
My newest addition is this faux chocolate bunny.
I have big plans for him.
I just picked him up a couple of weeks ago at Marshalls.
I’ll share more once all my decorations have found there home for this year.
Have you started decorating for easter yet?  Are you done?
I love all the inspiration out there & can’t wait to get to work with mine.
Happy decorating !
