Hello Friends! I am currently on spring break with the Masterpiece crew and fully enjoying these family bonding times since I know they are short lived. We will be back home on Sunday night and I have a slew of Easter projects I need to tackle once I am back to reality.
In the meantime I am reviewing Easter decorations, tablescapes and ideas from the past to organize myself so I can hit the ground running when I get back. This is one of my favorite parts of this blog. It provides me constant inspiration for the current season, holiday and event.
A few years ago I decorated the living room mantle using mercury glass as a main decor focus for the Easter holiday. This year I am planning to use mercury glass for my Easter tablescape, which I hope to share real soon.
I just recently shared a casual lemon inspired tablescape for our kitchen nook where I also utilized many of my mercury glass pieces.
There’s also always room for a little bit of whimsy for any holiday, although it’s not my overall decorating style. Sometimes a small detail or vignetter can make one smile and there is always room for that in anyone’s life.
For Easter there are bunny rabbits, chicks, sheep, lambs, eggs, etc. to use as decor and craft foils.
BUT we can not forget the reason for the season. It is a religious holiday and I try to keep my kids aware of the significance behind the holiday.
I am looking forward to sprinkling some Easter love throughout the house when we get back although I really do not want this short and sweet respite to end either.
I have a few projects I really want to share here and I hope I can get it all done in time. I felt like Easter was so far away and it’s slowing creeping up on me.
This is my current view in Mendocino, CA on the Northern coast of California.
We rented a charming house with beautiful views called “La Bella Vista”. We’ve been enjoying good food, belly laughs, fun stories, awesome music and more. We’ve had a ton of rain but it has not dampened our spirits at all. We’ve also had moments of sunshine gorgeousness that we have wallowed in. I’m looking forward to this when we get back since I noticed right before we left that the arbor was starting to fill up with blooms.

“Let the Holy Spirit of Easter, fill our houses with light, our minds with kindness, and our works with beauty.”
