So I finally took the plunge and went into the attic to get the autumn bin.
I’ve started to decorate the house for the season but I have a ton more to do.
I wanted to show some of the things i’ve done & I’ll be sharing more in the next upcoming weeks so make sure to pop back in again.
I really like all the bounty of the season so I prefer to decorate with natural elements or nature inspire items.
I filled the large birdcage in the living room with pine cones and acorns, mostly real & some faux, but even the faux items are constructed of natural materials.
Remember last year I filled the birdcage with pumpkins?

Nature in mass ~ I love how they both look.
I already had all the pine cones|acorns on hand so it was easy to put together. pumpkins have been really slow to show up around here.
The console with the large birdcage sits in front of the coffee table in the living room.
Remember my coffee table fall transition I showed you a couple weeks back?

Well- now that I had my mercury glass pumpkins down from the attic I had to add them to my mercury glass vignette.
I edited many of the mercury glass pieces in order to include the pumpkins.
The large pumpkin was a great find from a fellow consignor years ago. It was a pottery barn item and I did not pay a PB price. Happy dance.
The smaller one I can’t quite remember where I picked it up but my guess would be Marshall’s | TJMaxx.
I really had to crop these pictures because Mr. Masterpiece has a bunch of inventory for his company staged in the living room right now but if you look closely you can spy some at the top of the picture.
When he clears out I’ll show you the whole room in it’s entirety.
I have a few more spots to decorate left in this room and I’ll share it all.
The living room is my favorite room to spruce up; probably because it has most of the furniture I inherited from my parents.
My absolute favorite to decorate is my mom’s secretary desk {for those of you who frequent these parts you know this all too well}.
She’s all dressed up with brown transferware, feathers, gourds and the bookprint pumpkins I’ve crafted through the years.
Did you notice I took the pitcher full of feathers and the metal feather in the typewriter from the mantel?
Yup, I’m transitioning the mantel into fall mode. I’ll share real soon.
The temperatures have finally started to drop around here, which helps me get in a fall mood.
Hope to find some pumpkins tomorrow!
Happy harvest season !

It’s all just beautiful! I remember your birdcage last year and loving it. It’s fun to mix things up each year. I have a large lantern that I fill with pine cones or pumpkins as well. I have a couple of mercury glass pumpkins too. We are kindred spirits! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
