Known around the world, the Nutcracker Suite is a Christmas classic. Nutcrackers of all shapes and sizes find themselves weaved throughout all sorts of Christmas decor and stylings. Nutcrackers are on trend right now, inspiring this pretty tablescape set with all the Nutcracker Suite vibes.
My mother instilled a love for the Nutcracker Suite since I was a little girl. On a total side note, little Miss M played Clara in her kindergarten production of the Nutcracker Suite. She was such a sweet peanut. The musical score instantly transports to a magical scene.

an inspired Nutcracker tablescape design
The table styling is inspired by nutcrackers of different sizes and colors around the table. Every place setting is crowned with a individual mini nutcracker, plus larger pieces are scattered throughout the center of the table.
As a nod to Tchaikovsky, who composed the classic Nutcracker Suite, there are details with sheet music around the table as well. Music scrolls are tucked into thrifted mercury glass containers and tiny presents stacked around the centerpiece are wrapped in sheet music pages.
details about the Nutcracker suite tablescape styling
The table styling is a bit rustic and a bit refined, which is a favorite combination around here. The nutcrackers, which are the focal point, are all on the simpler side of design.
Plate stack details
I love to mix and match in my table scape designs. It helps when you don’t have a matching set of something and it also adds interest to the table styling.
Wanting to use these small green transferware bowls, which I only have two, I created an every other plate stack. I love green transferware and I always look for pieces while thrift store shopping. You can read about my green transferware collection here plus details about the bowls here and here.
