Preheat oven to 425 degrees
Wash and quarter tomatoes
Cut onion into 8 wedges
Place Boursin cheese in middle of dutch oven and surround with cut tomatoes and onion, basil, garlic, cayenne pepper and drizzle olive oil over everything drenching thoroughly
Add S&P to taste on top
Roast for 30 minutes
Remove pot from oven and allow to rest for ten minutes to cool down
Once cooled a bit, use immersion blender to puree all ingredients
Continue to emulsify with immersion blender until you reach a silky, creamy consistency (be patient)
Put pot back on stove over low heat
Add broth, heavy cream and balsamic vinegar to pot
Increase heat to medium and bring to a boil
Test flavor and adjust seasonings to taste
