Easy, Flavorful Asian Slaw

Asian slaw recipe which is super flavorful, but yet is fairly easy to put together.

Equipment

  • 1 Salad Bowl
  • 1 Grater

Ingredients

  • 1/2 head Green Cabbage
  • 1 each Carrot
  • 2 each Scallions
  • 1/2 cup Cilantro
  • Toasted Sesame Seeds To taste as garnish

Dressing

  • 1/2 cup Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Kewpie Mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Srirach Chili Hot sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Sesame Seed Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Rice Vinegar
  • 1-2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Toasted Sesame Seeds

Instructions

  • Read entire recipe and assemble all your ingredients and tools
  • Mince garlic cloves
  • Combine all dressing ingredients and mix well until dressing is emulsified
  • Set dressing aside and make salad
  • Slice and chop cabbage to bite size pieces
  • Fill salad bowl with cabbage and set aside
  • Slice scallions using all white section and 2/3s of green section
  • Peel carrot and use grater to shred carrot
  • Add scallions and carrots on top of cabbage in salad bowl
  • Roughly chop cilantro
  • Add cilantro on top of salad ingredients, setting about 2 tablespoons aside for garnish
  • Add dressing on top of salad and toss thoroughly
  • Once salad and dressing are melded together add remaining cilantro and sesame seeds to taste on top as garnish
